I hate when I wear my hair out and it's windy too.
I hate it even more when my guy friend rolls the window down in the car when I wear my hair down cuz he likes to watch my curls blow around even though I get out the car lookin a mess.
I hate when ppl act overly mesmerized about the volume of my hair. Yeah it grabs attention but too many ppl cross the line with all the drama.

1) I hate when people bring up the fact that you had "good" hair before you went natural. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Like the hair I have now is evil or something.

2) I also hate when people see you after a blowout that they act like your hair grew 4 inches over night. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Just because you see 1 inch of hair when i wash and go doesn't mean that my hair is that short.

I hate it when people who have had numerous discussions with me about natural hair and my journey and goals in particular still ask me, "So, are you ever going to relax it again?" What part of "natural" don't they understand?

I hate it when someone tells me I'm wearing my hair natural to prove that I'm black. That really pisses me the hell off. I AM black. Period. Jerks.

I, too, hate people calling me Foxy Brown, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, or shouting "Black Power" when they see me.

I hate, hate, hate people explaining away my natural hair with, "Well, you've got that good hair anyway." That is really sad because they're just not giving their own good hair a chance.

Oddly enough, I do not care if people touch my hair. I am happy for them to reach out and touch and come away with a handful of shea butter and oil. LOL

i have kept my twists in for as long as a month. they don't unravel at the ends. my roots get really fuzzy, but i have learned that is just the nature of my hair. i just keep my hair moisturized with a spritz and sealed with oils n butters am i am good to go

lol i mean i pay attention to eating healthy, balanced foods on the daily but that's just as far as i go.

i hate it when people ask me if I cut my hair when I change my style like twists.

I can keep myself composed if you touch my hair but if you touch any part of my child prepare for a verbal lashing.

Biggest peeve of them all, I especially hate when people with badly damaged/broken/dry permed hair or a unkept weave what to give me advice about hair.

I AGREE!!!

I hate when people ask me every time they see me "So you are going to keep your hair like that?" - Yes, the answer did not change since last week and it's not going to change.

I hate when people use the Eryka Badu, Black Power terms as well. I am my own person and my hair does not define me! To add to this, I hate when people tell me how much they hate my hair and I never asked for their opinion.

I'm not crazy about day 1 hair. Day 2 hair is so much better.

I hate having to retwist my sides at night. If not, I'll be a flat mess the next day of my TnC.

I hate when I have a not so great hair day and people say "What happened to the curls you had yesterday?" - Like I WANT to have a bad hair day and like I didn't have them when I was fully relaxed.

i hate when:
-i get asked "what are you going to DO with your hair now?"
-people feel the need to tell me how much they hated my hair when i first cut it
-people expect a long afro-centric speech in response to the question "why did you go natural"?
-"permies" (lol) automatically assume that i'm gonna try to persuade them to go natural, and rush to let me know that they LIKE their relaxed hair and can't stand these "nappy nazi's" running around
-people ask me how they can go natural: don't get a touch up. ever. bam, ur natural.
-i am told that my natural texture can be distracting/unprofessional (actually happened. came from someone i respected. can we say shocked?)

No, I take that back. I do. I told my mother in law (my mom's in Philly and very supportive since she's natural) that I'm transitioning. She asked me "Why?" as though I just told her I'm leaving her son. What happened the next day? She sent over her electric hot comb.

I hate when:
1)ppl make Erykah Badu/Black Power references...I love ms.badu but its wack
2)ppl ask me why i went natural? and then dont accept my answer....nobody pestered me like that when I got short cuts w/relaxed hair
3)ppl wanna talk about my hair for like hours...I get tired of talking about it
4)ppl assume I cut my hair because I couldn't take care of it....no I chose to go natural...my hair didnt break off!
