2011 Weight Loss Challenge! - Page 9 Empty My Midweek Check-in

Hey Ladies! This week has been a complete 180 degree change from last week. I've been sticking to my goals with the exception of the food logging one but I've got an eating routine down so at this point I don't think it's necessary right now. With that being said, the only way that'll workout is if I continue to regulate and schedule my meals. I've been working out pretty hard too. Today, (Tuesday) my hubby took me through a boxer's workout. Talk about CARDIO. My upper body is so sore. I also should add that on Sunday I started taking a thermogenic (Weight Loss Supplement) by the name of OxyElite Pro. I did my research and I saw mostly good reviews. It was a little pricey but already see results. I weighed myself 24hrs after I started taking it and I already dropped a pound. This is definitley water weight but still. My scale ran out of batteries so I'm not sure where I stand now but the results are already visible. When taking it, I have a boost of energy and I'm more focused than I usually am. I am no stranger to thermogenics so this was no surprise. I like this so far and I will keep you ladies updated if anything changes. Needless to say, my week has started off STELLAR. I am definitley going to keep this up!

Cool Mandi. I hope to reach under that 200 mark by next weigh in but with my period on the horizon I'm not sure if that will happen. We'll see. I will try my hardest to resist the temptations I usually get this time of month for the crunchies and the munchies!! LOL Pray for me y'all!!! LOL

I know some of you ladies are older than me so i'm not sure how many of you watch MTV. They have a pretty nice show on by the name of I Used To Be Fat. It's about obese teens who lose weight before they head off to college. They are assigned trainers who whip them into shape. I'm not so sure about the speed that they are losing the weight (90 pounds in 100 days?) but overall it's been a pretty motivating show. This week they have a black (AND NATURAL) trainer. I absolutey love it. Seeing someone that looks like me being a trainer and helping someone else change their life is inspiring. I am definitely going to have to do research on her and learn more. Her physique is similar to what I am trying to achieve. I'll let you know what I find out!

Hey Mandi. yea I actually accidentally stumbled on that show the o ther week. It was a white girl who was going to college soon and she was homeschooled so she had like no social life. The trainer did whip her behind but she was getting on my nerves CRYING like a little baby cuz she "couldn't" do the workouts. She had been spoiled all her life basically by her mom who would drive her to the fast food places because she didn't wanna eat what her mom cooked!!! WHAT??? I couldn't believe that!!! I didn't like the dress she had on, no on her anyway, it was too chort and looked like a nightie!!! But she did meet her goal of 90 pounds in 3 months!!! Impressive!!

Oh Mandi I didn't see your question to me about how my week is going.....DAMN PERIOD!!!!! lol I have been stuck at this same weight pretty much for a week and it's so freaking annoying cuz I have been busting my butt every morning and eating right. So I dunno. But I am still pushing thru it. I just hate when you do all that work and literally see NO results!!!!

See, Misskris, that's why I CAN'T get on the scale everyday...lol. That would drive me crazy! I have to work as hard as I can for a week and then get on and see what I've done. Sometimes it's too hard for me to wait though , especially if I wake up and "feel" lighter... lol!

Go to my WW meeting tomorrow, and I'm actually looking forward to getting on the scale. I've been meeting my goals all week and eating right every day bounce

LOL... I know what you mean. But still it keeps me on track. I know the scale is only not moving cuz of my Aunt Flow. Evil or Very Mad I'll be glad when it's over. I always wish I wouldn't get it anymore cuz I am SO done having kids so I dunno why I even need to get it anymore!!!! LOL Mad
I also know what you mean about waking up lighter cuzsometimes I wake up feeling heavier!!! LOL Sometimes lighter!! But sometimes even when I feel heavier I lost!!

That is hilarious!!! Yes, it should be that way -- when you are done having kids, no more visits from Aunt Flow. Shoot, I would have been finished 10 years ago...lol. My aunt is also visiting right now, but it's never really made a difference in my weight...lucky I guess. That must be your muscle mass when you feel heavier but have lost. I don't know though because muscle weighs more than fat but takes up less space. Girl, I don't know, I'm just guessing.

Hahaha...well you know now that I think of it, I have been using weights all week too so that may be part of the reason the scale hasn't budged. I will also be able to gauge maybe next week when I remeasure my waist and stuff. I usually do that at the beginning of each week but we'll see since this bloating. But It'll be over by Sunday. So I may be able to measure by Monday to see how much i've lost in inches.

Hi, Ladies!
I love this! I have been battling weight loss for a long time. I always lose and gain the same 10 lbs! I realize now that it's a mind issue. Instead of focusing purely on weight loss, I'm focusing on creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle for life. This focus shift has made my mind so much clearer. I love it! I think I would benefit from accountability. I've done it on my own before and then I fall off the wagon.

With that being said, can I jump in? Here are my goals and stats:

1. Exercise at least 3 times per week for 25-40 minutes.
2. Reach a healthy B.M.I. (I really don't mind how long it takes but I guess I need to be specific so I'll say by June, 2011).
3. Eat well-portioned, balanced and nutritious meals and increase water intake.

Height: 5'4"
Start Weight: 161.5
Current Weight: 159
Goal Weight: 145-140
