I also have been through the yo-yo dieting (many times). IT SUCKS!!! But it truly is mind over matter and accountability and support makes it that much more easy. If you don't mind me asking, what do you do for exercise?

Aww man just when I was getting into my workout routine I now coming down with a nasty bug. I've had a fever 103.2 and my body aches all over . However I saw that I lost 4lbs . But being this sick I won't be able to work out for a while, hopefully by next week

I just started up again... For cardio I do intervals of walking and jogging for 30 min and afterward do abs and push ups. I'm trying to build back up again where I can run a 12 minute mile with no problem. I was there in August. I haven't gotten my strength training routine down yet. I am thinking about a boot camp. I have tried a workout plan called "Body Change" by Montel Williams (lol) and that really does work. That was cardio every other day for 30 min and their strength training plan every other day with a day off for rest. I toned up nicely.

Nice... Well your not to far from it. August wasn't too long ago. I'm pretty sure you can meet all your goals!

So far, I have lost 3.8 pounds. I hope to reach my goal by April 1, 2011. I am glad that I am on this weight loss journey, because I really need it. I know this is not going to be an easy journey, but I am determined to get to my goal.

Good morning, ladies! Okay, I worked my butt off all week, ate right, and drank all my water. This morning I got on the scale...and there was a gain?! I gained 2 lbs. since last week. I think it's because I'm including weights in my workout, something I've never done before because I don't like this stage your body goes through of showing a gain on the scale because muscle weighs more than fat. I've included it though because muscle also burns fat and that's what I want and it's just very healthy for us women to maintain our muscle mass. Anyway, I've got good news, too. My waist went from 30" to 29.5"...YAY . I'll take that for now.

Boo!!! and YAY!!!! at the same time Butterfly!!!! LOL I know that sucks but you're right. Muscle does of course weight more than fat so that's a good gain if that's the case. I have been using weights all week as well. That may be part of why the scale for me hasn't budged much, plus the fact that I was on my period this week.
BUT....last week I weighed in at 202.4...this morning I weight in at 200.2. So I DID lose a little something. All in all I have lost 8.3lbs! So that's cool. I was hoping that I would have gotten below that stupid 200 mark but that'll happen this week. I forgot to do my measurements this morning so I'll do it tomorrow morning. I usually was doing that on Mondays (a long time ago anyway, when I was working out before) I guess I'll have to remember to start doing that on Sundays.

Butterfly, I am doing strength training too and the scale is moving slowly, I think I need to start taking measurements. It always seemed like too much trouble to me, but I should try it.
I am down from 147.4 to 146.6, .8 lbs. Slow and steady I guess! Sometimes I do get discouraged because I am now in the range of my pre-pregnancy weight and I am still a clothing size bigger than I was then.
Butterfly, I am doing strength training too and the scale is moving slowly, I think I need to start taking measurements. It always seemed like too much trouble to me, but I should try it.

Courtrhapsody, a loss is a loss no matter how small or how slowly. It's the change in measurement that get me through those times that I don't lose that much even though I've been working hard. Is that your first baby? I ask because our body shapes change as we have kids and that could be the reason for your size being bigger but your weight being close to before. Btw - I love your avi. Very cute!

Thanks Court and Butterfly. I WILL get past that mark this week. Maybe I'll slow down on the weights too.
So I guess I'll go take a pic of myself for my before pic. I haven't done that yet. Butterfly, I agree... strength training DOES do that! It can be frustrating but I would do as courtrhapsody said and start taking measurements. You may see more of a difference than the scale and get more of a pay off!

Yeah, Misskris, I just measured my bust, left and right upper arms, hips, left and right thighs, and of course my waist. I also did 20 minutes of weight lifting today and an hour of Wii Fit Plus yesterday. I'm going to try to keep that momentum up this week and see what happens next weigh-in day. Butterfly, yes my first baby. I think things just change! I just had a some junk food during a football game at a friend's house. I need to work out and eat well this week to make up for it.
