2011 Weight Loss Challenge!

So we are posting pics on the last day of every month to track our progress for one whole year? I guess I am trying to figure out when the challenge will officially be over?

Update: super sore lol so sore that I didn't go to the gym yesterday. I can barely hold a phone up to my ear its so funny. I just wanted to let you all know that I am rooting for ya over here.

a YEAR??? I don't think it's that long is it?? I won't be on it that long, just a few months probably. But yeah, before and after pics on last day of each month to see progress.

I guess I need to take my before pic!! I've already lost 7 lbs!! LOL

Yea I was assuming that one whole year would be much... wow 7 lbs!! YAY!!

I was just going to leave it open for people to pick it up or leave. Like, the date to make my goal is in May so I'll be done then...

I started a food Journal!

@Cupcake, tell us more! I love food journals. They keep me on track because I can't ignore what I've written down, or in my case, typed in. My food journal is on my WW e-Tools.

Butterfly I made one on my computer, just a simple chart. I started it on 3/15/10 and have used it off and on!! LOL But back t o using it now. I restarted it on 1/1/11 After a while I will stop using it - once I have reached my goal and maintained it for a while.

Misskris, journals can be very helpful when you've had a small gain or no loss. You can look back in your journal and find a week where you lost weight and duplicate that week.

Yeah I know. But when I fall off the wagon I don't bother writing anything because I know I'm doing wrong!! LOL

So I haven't been keeping up with my schedule and I suck I know but a friend called me last night (Wednesday) and ask if I would go with her to check something out. It turned out to be Weight Watchers! She said if I didn't join she wouldn't either and because of several reasons it has become mandatory for her. So, I joined WW! I love the website and I am still reading all the info they gave me.

BTW even though I haven't been sticking to my exercise schedule according to their scale I have lost 2.6 lbs!

@Misskris - Girl, you are too funny...lol. In the past, the way that I have stayed on the wagon was to make journaling everything I eat and drink mandatory. So it was like if I didn't want to write it down, I wouldn't eat/drink it.

Butterfly, I guess that's a good point. But I guess I am not that brave to see me falling off the wagon in words!! LOL I guess I'm a punk that way. But maybe I should start doing that. BUT I don't plam on falling off the wagon anymore. I need to understand that one day of messing up doesn't mean it's all over. I just get really lazy sometimes and unmotivated but I know I have pleanty of reasons to stay healthy. I just need to STAY up this time!!!

YAY!! If you like dancing you will LOVE Zumba cuz that's kinda really all it is.

@misskris - you WILL stay up this time girlfriend because you realize already that it's a lifestyle change. Like you said, 1 bad day doesn't mean it's all over. In fact, one bad meal doesn't ruin a day; one bad day doesn't ruin a week; and one bad week... well, that's going too far...LOL!

I want to try Zumba soooo bad. I dont' have time to go to the gym, and I can't afford the separate Zumba classes, so I'm going to order the Zumba DVDs and just do it at home (when I have the space).

Zumba the only exercise that I have been comitted to. Everything else I usually get bored 2--3 month in. Liek MissKris said if you love to dance then you'll love zumba

I know what you mean. I always get bored with exercise. The only one that I haven't gotten bored with is the Wii.

Butterfly I was looking into the DVDs too but then I saw the Zumba Wii game!! It's $29.96 at Walmart. I looked on eBay for the Wii game and the cheapest I saw was 19.99, free shipping but it's from Australia and the guy has NO selling points yet. So I dunno. But he's got a few of them listed. I would get the DVD set but $60 is a bit hefty right now.

WHAT?! . I am so getting that next week!! And you better spend that extra $10 bucks at Walmart, too. DO NOT buy anything from anywhere other than the U.S. on eBay. Believe me, Misskris, I know. These people can even have great freedback, but I've been burned twice (got my money back once), so I say don't do it.

Oh, I'm not, no worries!! LOL I am gonna get it from Walmart. Yes honey, I I found out about the Wii game by looking for the DVD on eBay. LOL The Zumba DVD on walmart.com didn't have good reviews. I wonder what amazon.com says about the dvd.
