Any henna I have left over from henna'ing I freeze. It's usually not enough for my whole head so I add some oil (anykind) and conditioner (any kind) and add until it's a good consistency and enough to apply. I apply to wet hair (it's dirty hair I don't like doing all that washing). Baggy for an hour or 2. Rinse out. Wash n condition for about 15 minutes. Rinse and style as usual. Actually I had better color results with the gloss than with the original henna process.

I seriously had to resist the free shipping on Carol's Daughter yesterday. Literally sat there with my order in the cart and forced myself to wait until midnight when the shipping expired. I"m proud of myself-- I didn't buy anything.

*Now pray for me because I'll be in downtown Chicago next week and there is a Sephora near my hotel Shocked

Oh yeah, I saw Lynnie over in the "What new products are you using" thread. Not sure why she was in the since she ain't supposed to be buying no new products.

*realizes I'm a snitch and walks away in shame*...my children must have rubbed off on me.

Now Erica....How did you know I was in the "What new products are you using" thread? Oh and didnt I "see" [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] you in the "Karen's Body Beautiful Reviews" thread?

I will be glad when my challenge is over at the end of the month. I have to admit, this challenge is helping me use up the things I have. I'm trying find different ways to use up/get rid of somethings so I can try something new.

It's time for me to shampoo...I usually use my Creme of Nature Shampoo or KBB Conditioning Shampoo but since I only have a half of a bottle of Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo (sample size), I am gonna use that so I can take it off my list.

BTW Erica, KBB sent me an email....I'm NOT gonna tell you what it says!!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Ok Lynnie, if you don't tell me I'm gonna be very curious and then I won't be able to resist buying some hair butter (and I'm really trying to resist!). So, if I fall off the wagon it will be your fault-- do you want that on your hands?

CHALLENGE: Use Your Stash - Page 15 Empty Re: CHALLENGE: Use Your Stash

Post by KinkyNappyHappy 4th February 2010, 1:20 am

I just love it!!! lol!

@Lynn ~ for real..what did your e-mail say for KBB? I got one today and it said $5 shipping on $50 or more. Is that the e-mail you were referring to? lol!

I saw Lynn, Sweet, Nubie, & Erica in the "What new products are you using", but I really thought they were doing research like I was today.

So as I was doing my research today study I discovered that I might need to try something different with my w'n'g...

As a result I had to buy a couple of things today to help with what I'm trying to accomplish..(just rambling here) and that is to find something or some product to help define my curls.

So I had to buy the Yes To Carrots Mud Conditioner cause it was on sale by one get one 1/2 off. Also, FemmeFox recommended that I try to gel my hair and that style required Activator Gel...which I found for $6.99.

*sigh* Let me just go update my stash list. You know how you give up something for Lint and all you want is what you gave up!!!! That is how this challenge feels!!! drunken

woot! Peanut Butter Jelly Time woot!

Did somebody say $5 shipping?!

The website also says free shipping within the contiguous U.S. dance

Ok..so what if I buy the products now and don't use them until after March...does that count?

But if you buy the hair milk and butter together you save $4, plus the cheaper shipping...it's a great deal! By the way, if you were going to order some, what scent would you get? Hypothetically speaking of course.

*realizes that the money could go towards something more important and vows to make my own butter from ingredients I already have.*

Can I at least buy a new essential oil to make my scented butter? I have rosemary, peppermint and lavender but all this talk about coco mango/lime has me wanting something fruity (by the way, are there fruity smelling essential oils?)

I love Coco Lime...that's what I have in the Oil and Nectar. Once the challenge is over I'm going to order more cream and milk in the same scent. I just love KBB products....for summer. I needed something heavier for the winter on top of my Oil and Nectar. They told me I should be using the Milk and butter in the winter in combination with the shampoo and conditioner. However, buy that time I was participating in this challenge, and couldn't buy the products...oh but when April 1st comes... Very Happy

CocoLime smells like Fruit Loops. It's too sweet smelling for me. My favorite essential oil is Lemongrass. Hubby always tells me I smell like lemon cake. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
