I never even thought about that...not having both of my hands to do my hair. That has got to be frustrating. I wish you a speedy healing!

@sweet- using my right hand. broke the left wrist. so, its all good. appreciate the loving reprimand though. I had to begin this since i cried over not being able to wear my hair as i like, or experiment, or do ANYTHING with it. very frustrating and i must express!

thanks for all the welcomes and well wishes!

Poeticlyspkng...I feel your pain...I had surgery on my right wrist about 3 weeks ago.

My hair is braided, but I want to take it down sooooo bad! LOL

Wishing you a quick recovery!

Welcome to the challenge. I wish you a speedy recovery.

I would have to get my hair braid if I could only use one hand. Roxie (that's my hair's name) does not like to be out for longer than 3 days before she starts acting up.

It's ok if you type in all lower case. If you would feel more comfortable, I will type in all lower case next time.

I'm recovering slowly, but surely...it's not as painful as before...just occasional pain & stiffness...I just type really slow! :-)

Take your time, don't do too much, too soon, and you'll be good!

i was scrolling thru all the comments here and was amazed at all the beautiful, diverse, naturalistas. u are all lovely! on days when i want to run to the relaxer, it is encouraging. I have been living with wngs since "the incident" (aw shoot! i used quotations with one hand)... lol, but anyway, i had my bday this past saturday and everything is a blur. all I know is that on that day- THELMA was doing her own thing. How could I ever have entertained flat lining her...

Oh, I'm sorry to hear about your wrist, and we don't even get some nice sunshine for you to look at with this contrary weather. Your hair is beautiful Smile

Do you know of any Natural salons in Columbus? The two I've heard of didn't sound appealing to me.

hmmmm. its thursday and suddenly cold again here in Ohio. i've been struggling with my hair all week but there is good news. I will not wear a cast, only a stint 95% of my life. Hoping this means i might be able to start twisting my hair soon. we'll see. in the meantime, I've been using the accordion method to do my hair. Today i tried it with samys curl cream. I think it came out ok. gotta work on the frizz!
