Ok... I'm in!
Hair type: 4C
BC'ed: 11/14/2010
I co-wash daily because I haven't found a good daily moisturizer just yet.
I wash once a month, I think my hair hates shampoo, so I may just stick with conditioners...
Products used:
-HE Hello Hydration (and a few others by HE)
-Aussie Moist Shampoo (which the shampoo is about to end)
-Grapeseed Oil
-Shea Moisture Coconut Curl Enhancer (Don't care for it, but it will do until I find something else)
Styles:
I wear Lace Fronts to work, but wear my twa out in the evenings and sometimes weekend until I get use to having hair this short!

Ok Ladies...
Okay...
when I measured my hair on Dec 5th...
Front-11.5"
Top-10 1/4"
Right Side - 11"
Left Side - 11.5"
Back - 10.5"
Ok so ... today I i JUST remeasured again and...(***drum roll please***) lol....
Front - 13" (1.5" growth)
Top - 12 1/4" (2" growth????)
Right Side - 13" (2" growth??)
Left Side - 13" (1.5" growth)
Back - 11 1/2" (1" growth)
WHAT!!!???? Now I don't know how accurate the measurements are but that's quite a bit of difference.
Here are a couple pics or when I took my hair out yesterday...

Very nice! Do you take out the lacefronts once you get home or keep it in?
If you take it out you can massage your hair daily with an oil for extra growth. I've been doing it since I decided to join this challenge. I can't see much growth when it's curly but when I wore my hair straight I saw a significant difference after just a week (1/4 - 1/2 inch)!

Re: 2011 Hair Growth Challenge -- Jan thru Apr
HAHAHA!!! @Krissy!!!!! Well, I don't know if what I do is really called a regimen but I guess it can. For about the last three months i have been wearing my hair in PSs, mainly 2strand twists but most recently (for the last 2 weeks) it was cornrows.. I wash about once a week, sometimes cowash in between so maybe don't have to wash with shampoo as often.
I have been oiling my scalp about every other day with castor oil ("New Castor Oil Challenge"). Keeping my hair moisturized with a leave in conditioner, mostly has been with Cantu Shea Leave in but just bought some YesTo Cucumbers which I like.
That's really it. I henna'd once, need to do it again. That was like the last weekend in November. I need to get some more henna. OH!! and I also take vitamins -- a women's once a day multi, a B-Complex and fish oil.
I do believe that the protective styles help a loy because as my hair was cornrowed I think that's when it grew the most. I was able to pull the braids off my scalp at LEAST a 1/4 inch!!!!, maybe half inch in some spots!!
So moisture, PS and castor oil are my secret I guess!! LOL Your hair is very pretty too Krissy....you must be doing something right too!!!

OH and I DC usually when I wash (mostly once a week) and I have been using up my LeKair Cholesterol which I mixed with some honey and EVOO. I detangle under running water while in the shower which is AMAZING!!! If you don't already detangle this way...START!!!! It makes it WAAAAAAYYYY easier to detangle and saves so much time.

Yes... I do take them off when I am at home...
Every morning (or every other morning) before work, I moisturize with my Shea Moisture Curling Smoothie stuff, then seal with my concoction of: Water, grapeseed oil, and Herbal Essence (twist n curl) Conditioner... Keeps my hair pretty soft...

Re: 2011 Hair Growth Challenge -- Jan thru Apr
I have never tried that JBCO but hear good things about it. I wonder if it gets better results than the regular oil or if it's just the same.
