Hair Growth Challenge 2011 Empty Hair Growth Challenge 2011

Post by Sperale 26th December 2010, 3:28 pm

...For those of you who put "Grow my Hair" on your 2011 resolution list.
There are no rules. Use what you think will work but you have to tell us what you're using. Challenge runs until April (4 months). Tell me if you're interested then we'll get started for the new year.
I'll post the list of final participants on New Year's Day and then we'll decide how often to report our growth. Suggestions Welcomed.

I'm going to put up a pic but right now I'm wearing braids sooo I can't exactly put up a before pic that's really recent. The only recent one I have of a before pic is the 17th & I did Bantu-knots ( not the best results but working on it) is that okay?

Very Happy

Hair Type: 3a-c. Mostly 3b
Current Length: About 13" I have it cut slightly shorter in the back so its about 10" there.
Desired Growth: 2"
Protective Styles/ Supplements: (SMH, i almost never do protective styling. lol.) The 2-big-french-braids-going-back thanger, mini twists, and lots of buns to keep my ends tucked away.
Routine: Co-wash every two days or so. Shampoo every week or two, depending on how much build up I have. I'm gonna try to stick to air drying and not use any form of heat. I'm also gonna give braid outs and twist outs a try instead of always doing wash and go's

I don't do them a lot, but braid-outs were definitely my thing when I was transitioning. In my opinion, braid-outs hold more of a curl than twist-outs on relaxed ends and that helps to blend the different textures better.

Welcome earynnm.
Has anyone used Biotin and got any side effects before?
I've been using it for 4 months now, but I hear people talking about hair growth in weird places. I haven't noticed anything 'weird' but my eyelashes have gotten really long..people think i'm wearing mascara all the time.
