...called her BFF who encouraged her to proceed as planned. So she began chopping away. Stunned at what she found beneath those straggly, thinned-out relaxed ends, she began to cry tears of joy, happiness, and freedom. Moments after completing her BC, she started to have mixed emotions because she realized that she had no clue what to do with her natural hair. So she grabbed her laptop and googled "natural hair blogs" and Curly Nikki appeared. She frantically clicked on the link and ...

and was at once amazed and overwhelmed at all of the

There was a faint rap on the door and sounds of a muffled voice from the other side...

and who is this voice?? Her mother!! who hated her twa and always had a sly negative comments..

Saying, "Girl have you lost your mind??!!! You look like a boy now! You hair is definitely nappy now!" She looked at her mother smiled and said...

... "but ma, everybody's doing it. And besides, my hair was thinning out really bad from the last relaxer [kit] my cousin put on my hair. Come let me show you this awesome site I found. See how healthy and big my hair will grow to be. Doesn't the health of my hair matter more than what I may look like for now?"

and the ma asks...”Girl you gonna really walk around with your hair that big? and the girl replies, “I’d rather walk around with big hair then no edges."

With this beautiful head of hair of mine the possibilities are endless. I can...

Cutting your hair too. You know how you always complain about your rough ends? Well I looked it up and it may be damage...

"I can get a TRIM," her mother snapped, "...And your daddy don't want no bald headed woman! Lord, I don't know what to do with you,"

She proceed to say to her mother : healthy hair is the goal mom don't you get it ? Don't you think i'm beautiful just me simply me not the way i wear my hair ?

Her Ma said "how you gonna get a man? Don't man want no nappy headed woman! I can't believe you did this!!!"

She said "Ma....

I am not my hair!!!! I am a person. If a man is that shallow, I don't need him.

her mom gives up fussing with her, and the young lady is proud that she stood up for herself, and her choice..but now she had a new problem to face and that is her ADDICTION TO PRODUCTS!!

She was in roduct heaven Darcy's Botanicals, Qhemet, AfroVeda, Koils by Nature...oh she couldn't decide what to purchase first. Then she saw a video on youtube by....
