Hey KNH TGIF!!!

Good Morning!!!

As Sweet said TGIF I don't know if I posted yesterday on CS or not. I know didn't get a chance to do an update on my own thread cause it was a rough day at work and home!!!

Health: I didn't make it to my step class today, because I over slept..... You know I actually feel guilty...which is a good thing. So I hope I can get to Zumba class tomorrow @ 10:30am.

Hair: I shampooed my hair with Kinky Curly Come Clean shampoo yesterday...and did a puff with bangs again today. It turned out much better starting with clean hair!! I'll share pictures this evening or in the morning.

SN: I will be doing most of my postings from home now. I've gone back and read some of my postings, and because I'm rushing trying to post from work I'm leaving out words and lets not talk about the misspelled words... I know that this is an informal environment, but I do want what I'm trying to communicate to make sense!!! LOL

Also, I make a decision everyday to be positive and embrace the good in all my situations; however, sometimes the devil will catch you off guard and throw you for a loop every now and then. So I leave you with this.....MAKE THIS A GREAT DAY LADIES!!! (putting this on my FB status so some of you will see this again)

It's real quiet here on CS this afternoon!! I'm lurking around while I do my weekly hair regiment. I'm trying out my ButtersNBars hair and skin products, and let me tell you ALL OF THAT STUFF IS AWESOME!!! I plan to do a mini review tomorrow!!!

Sitting here with a facial mask on before I take Mr. Xander to his drill performance. I wonder when will we get a break...these kids have to drill next week as well!!! WHEW!!! I could use a break!!!

Nothing new as far a health...just trying to eat healthy. Didn't make it to the 10am Zumba class....drill team practice interrupted that!!!

I tried a conditioning mask from ButtersNBars as well as Kimmytube's leave-in mixture!!! I tell you........is all I can say. I'm so loving both right now!! Penny feels so good, and I don't know if it is from the conditioning mask or the leave-in, but all I can say is WOW.

Well I'm out......I was informed that it was time to go. I wonder if Mr. Xander is tired of me making him late!!!

Hey KNH, it i slow today huh? Well I just got back from visiting my sister. Zaria is sleep and victor is with his dad (for a change). What did you use in your kimmytube mixture? I made some and I love it on my coils. I coiled up this morning and I plan on taking them out tomorrow, it always leave my hair soft.

Hey Crissy....yep is was slow. I guess everyone is enjoying their weekend!! Sounds like you had a very nice relaxing day. My sons are back home, so now I'm in mama mode again!! LOL

I used the following in the kimmytube leave-in conditioner I mixed up:

KC - Knot Today Conditioner
Aloe Vera Juice (Whole Leaf....don't know if that made a difference, but I wanted to stick to the recipe)
Castor Oil
Jojoba Oil

I hope this was right: I didn't get a chance to view her video, but this stuff is AMAZING!!! Also that Kinky Curly Come Clean shampoo is the business!!! **I wonder why I stopped using it**

Yeah tell me about momma mode. I used my tresseme, aloe vera gel castor oil and jojoba, and mine is amazing too. I never tried KKCC shampoo. I saw it at whole foods and i just passed it up. I got to go back tomorrow and find zaria some soap, she has eczema really bad so I try to tick with natural things. Hope you sunday is wonderful and I will be back later.

What a beautiful day!! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!!

Just a quick review on a couple of products that I purchased from Butters-n-Bars...

Hair:
Conditioning Hair Mask - first, I would like to say that I've only used the Hair Mask once and I'm SOLD on this stuff!!! It does exactly what it says after 1 application. My first reaction when I opened the jar was "hummmm this looks like henna" and it really does. I started with clean hair which I shampooed with Kinky Curly Come Clean, because I'm heavy handed an had a lot of product in my hair. As I began to apply the product I thought "Oh Boy this is going to be a mess!" Well it is was not!!! I started a little heavy handed, but soon noticed that I could apply this like I do my deep conditioner. Once I completely saturated my hair with the mask; I put on a plastic cap and mixed up Kimmytube's Leave-in conditioner...then sat under a heat cap for about 30 minutes.

Now it was rinse time....for those of you that henna; rinsing this mask out is some what like that, but as I was rinsing the product I was amazed at how soft my hair was!!! My curls were defined (except in the front on the left side... not sure what's going on over there) OH and did I say SOFT!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I'm impressed and will be placing an order for more of this stuff for sure!!!!

Organic Aloe Vera Spritzer - Ladies those of you that are experiencing dryness....this is the answer to all your prayers!!! This stuff right here puts my moisturizing spritz that I was using to shame!! I used this on my bangs every other night last week for moisture, and can I say that my twists were moist and had a sheen until wash day!!! I love, love, love this stuff!! I bought the Sweet Berries scent which smells very nice...and I will be getting another bottle when I order my henna today!

So after rinsing out the conditioning mask; I used Kimmytube's Leave-in conditioner and that was just the icing on the cake...just like everyone has stated this stuff is just simply AMAZING. I'm very impressed...and this is it for me!!! I will be using this as my leave-in conditioner from now on!!!!

As I was detangling I noticed that I had some shedding not a lot, but a little more than usually. I've read where some curlies hair just doesn't like being out....I wonder if that's what going on with Penny? Well....I'm going to try something new this week; Penny is all twisted up and I'm going to keep her twisted all week!!! I'll share pictures of the look I created when I get home from church. If I start taking pictures now I'll be late for church, and you all know how Mr. Xander feels about me making him late!!!

Sorry for such a long post...that's why I didn't review the skin products I purchased. I'll do that later maybe in the Hairyuveda challenge or Skin Care thread!!

Being the PJ that I am I just happen to have all the ingredients...but this stuff is so amazing not sure if its the oils or the conditioner, but I'm so glad that Kimmytube shared it and the ladies on this site passed it on!!

I've read that everyone is having great results as long as they are using a heavy leave-in conditioner. Have you tried black soap shampoo for Zaria? I heard that black soap is very moisturizing. Xander had eczema real bad when he was a baby...I use eucerine (sp?) on him until he was about 10 or 11 as well as Lever soap which is very moisturizing!! (still using Lever today)

It's been a couple of days since I've been through your thread. I think I've caught up. I've been busy and can't keep on here at work or I won't have a job. And I have so many projects going on at home once I am in the house I'm too tired to get on lately .

Anyway, I'm going to definitely check out the BNB Organic Aloe Spritzer. I haven't had that many problems with dryness lately because I keep my hair twisted and only wear it out a day or two. But since I'm going to start working out again the washngo will be my saving grace so I'll need all the help I can with my moisture.

Glad your workouts are going well. I love reading about you and your sons. Such a great mom. Reminds me of my mom and how she was ALWAYS doing stuff with us. Sacrificing so we'd grow up with some sense and living right. Your boys are blessed.

Penny sounds like she is responding well to your pampering. You might want to check out the Kimmaytube videos if you can. I enjoy them becuase they are most often factually based and very well researched. And oftentimes I follow up with my own research to see if people know what they are talking about and everything she's shared is all out there and it's on point. She mentions shedding too and a little shedding is not bad. Part of our hair's process.

Hey Dva...its been hard trying to get to everyone's thread so I understand. I read about a few curlies that tried the spritzer and I thought I would give it a try. I haven't tried it with a washNgo, but sure it will provided the moisture you are looking for.

I love my sons so much, and I remember what this seasoned mom told me when I had Xavier; she told me keep him busy and he'll stay out of trouble. Well she was right, but what she didn't tell me was that if I kept my sons busy I would be just a busy!!! However, I'm enjoying every minute, because in addition to loving them I really like them... So this doesn't seem so hard doing it by myself!!! Plus like your mom I really want them to grow up and have some sense, move out, and have a good life!!

I've subscribe to KimmayTube's channel, but I'm always on CN that I forget to go and check out my favorite YouTuber's and blogs, but that is so going to change. I really want to learn more about caring for my hair and that will definitely take some research!!! I know shedding is normal, but I had more strands than I could handle that look like breakage...I thought that Penny was pretty moist, but I think I messed that up when I tried to re-position my puff using water and all kinds of stuff!!

I'm starting to enjoy working out, and I believe its because I run into my co-workers and we are all struggling to maintain in these class!! This makes me feel a little more comfortable and we all learning together. This fitness center is the best thing my job ever did!!!!

Anyway....sorry for such a long response, but I hadn't chatted with you in a while....glad you had a chance to visit!!!

LOL KC...but you can look at it like this...if I wasn't such a PJ I wouldn't have had the products in my stash to make KimmayTube's Leave-in conditioner. However, you may have me on this one cause you are sitting on some good stuff "BnB conditioning mask for real!!

Hey RYL1....Gurl you need to to try KimmayTube's leave-in for real!!!! That stuff is like liquid gold!!! I am not a mixing person, but this was so easy!!! Next is the EcoCustard!!!

As promised here are a couple of pictures from my puff from last week after I shampooed with Kinky Curly Come Clean! The last pictures are some views of Penny all twisted up...the back and sides are twisted, and the top & front in a twist out!! I actually wore this style to church....got a lot of compliments!!! I guess I will perfect this style the more I do it!!!
