Morning Ladies!!!

I'm back at work....my body is here but my mind is still on vacation!!! LOL I guess I better get in gear quick. I'm still going through my e-mails...I'm on June 14th I guess I'll get caught up by lunch time.

Anyway....My henna was a success..my curls were poppin all over the place. I used a mixture of my 1st and 2nd left over henna mixtures that I had in the freezer. I let it sit out about 10 hours then I applied the mixture about 12am Monday. I think I had more of the 1st batch (this is the batch I where I used only lemon juice and mineral water) because I have real tight curls like I did the first time. (I really like the results) I didn't get a chance to take pictures of my henna results because the battery in my camera needed to be charged!!

However, I do have a couple of pictures I took in my truck this morning!!!









After I did a dc with Darcy's dc and Hairveda Vatika Hair Frosting Penny was sooo soft!!! I used Giovanna Direct Leave-in conditioner and EVCO; twisted in big sections, and used UFD ExtraButter and Curly Magic to twist. My twists are real defined on the right side and a little fuzzy on the left. I did smaller twists on the right...it was not intentional, but when I realized what I had done the left side was dry..oh well!!! I still like the results...just gotta keep twisting until I get it right!!

I didn't get to visit everyone's place yesterday, because I had to run a few errands and when I got home I was out like a light!!!

Your hair is looking great! I tried the UFD Curly magic a week ago for a wng and I really like it. My hair was soft and I think I'm going to use it on twists going forth since it didn't make my hair feel hard. Have a great day!

Welcome bacy KNH! You are making me want that Vatika Frosting! I bought a jar about a year ago and never repurchased...probably because my jar lasted so long. Can't wait till it's back in stock.

Thanks Dva...I henna once a month for the color deposit for the grey around my edges, but I am really liking the conditioning benefits. My hair feels so strong now!!! The color is just a plus!!!

Thanks girl...I plan to try UFD for a wNg real soon....maybe this weekend because we don't have drill team practice!!! Also, I was thinking yesterday I should try twisting with MiraCurl as well...hmmm I just might try that too!!! Who knows...LOL Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Hi LaToya...so now that I'm on day two I can say that I love the Vatika Frosting for my pre-poo and I will try it for a oil rinse. For my DC and my the three step moisture process I have to stick to my EVCO. I could tell the difference...or maybe it was because I did a henna which can be very drying. I'll do a dc tonight....to help combat the dryness!! Penny is loving the TLC I gave her. I don't think she was really happy with the twisting that when on without product!!! LOL

Hey BSD...thank you I missed everyone as well. I'm so glad to be back..it's taking me a while to get to everyone's house, but catch up by Sunday!! Girl...Penny is feeling good..well at least she's back to 90% I have to do another dc tonight to get her where she needs to be as it relates to moisture. That happens after I henna!!

Morning my curlysisterfriends!!!

I didn't check in last night....still trying to catch up with my rest. I got in the bed and before I could turn on my laptop I was out!!!

Anyway I had planned to get to work about 5:30am so I could start my workout program at the fitness center in my building, but I'm still trying to get my energy back from the trip. I'm going to go by there today and make arrangements to have one of the staff meet with me in the morning so I can learn the proper way to use the circuit machines. We have a room that is set up like curves so I think I will need assistance with that before I get started!!! Wish me luck!!! LOL

Anyway....Penny was a little dry yesterday and that was to be expected due to the henna I did Monday. I will do a dc tonight and style in a puff. I think that will be an easy style until I get used to my workout regiment, and figure out how to incorporate styling my hair with getting ready for work at work! I hope that made sense. I use Qhemet products to do my puff, and I'm out of the heavy cream so I plan to go by Uncle Funky's today to pick some up!! My goal is to come out of there with just Qhemet's heavy cream only!!! affraid: (can someone come with me today...Jnb, CurlyA, any Houston curly.help!!)

I still haven't made it to everyone thread...but I'll get there before this week is done!! I really missed everyone and I'm glad to be back chatting about all things hair and more!!

heeeey knh! i just got my order for the vatika frosting last week (i got a VIP order) and BJ put it in a bottle...i think i'd prefer for it to be in a bottle for easy application. i wanted to drink it, EEEEK!! so i cant wait to try it.

As far as workout hair. I think that it would be best to wear your hair in twists while you work out for a few days. Or you can twist them and just take them down everyday for a twist out at work. the twists are a carefree style for me when i play!

After I henna my curls are real defined and coily...so I'm not sure how to get the best twist out...if I twist small the twists are real twisty and if I twist big my twist out is frizzy!! hummm I'll figure it out!!!

Last night I re-twisted with KBN butter...my hair is soo soft today!!! WOW

Anyway....I'll do another dc tonight with my Darcy's conditioner (yes Chrs I love Darcy's thank you for recommeding this conditioner this will be the one for a minute..LOL) I guess I'll do a wash and go in the morning....why fight the curls.

I was on HairVeda's website yesterday and I almost placed an order for their deep conditioner and moisture and protein pack!! I didn't....I'm so proud of myself!!!

Girl how did you get a VIP order??? I ain't mad at you...cause that is some good stuff that Vatika Frosting. It does smell good enough to eat for real!!! I keep my jar in the refrigerator. When I used it I took it out about 2 hrs before I did my pre-poo. It was the right consistency for what I needed. I'm sure an applicator bottle would work better!!!

Thanks hun..the red is working but the black roots are taking over!! I've read that henna can loosen your curl pattern, but thank God that hasn't happened with me!!

Thanks hun...I'm glad to be back. I hate working out, but I know I've got to do it....its good for me. Plus my body is very receptive to excerise...I plan to be fine by Christmas..LOL

I was thinking about a washNgo..you know? I may try the bumble and bumble because its easy to pack and my hair dries quickly with that stuff!! I'll post pictures in the morning after my first workout session!!! If I make it...

I'm on for just a brief update I'll be back later. I'm headed to the fitness center....**sigh** this first week is going to be tough. I'm sure my legs are going to be itching and stuff...not sure why that happens, but I'm looking forward to getting back into shape.

I'll post pictures when I get to my desk...wonder what Penny is going to look like...LOL

Anyway...I'm getting a little excited about tomorrow. You know why....because tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY!!!!

I'll be 49 years old tomorrow. WOW God is so Good....not only is he allowing me to see another year; I'm still sane (well that depends on who you ask..lol) and I'm feeling great!!!

I'll update you guys on my plans later...nothing fancy just hanging with a couple of friends and avoiding a date my my co-worker..LOL

It is hard when you're just starting to exercise again, but once your body gets used to it you will love it especially when you start to lose weight!! I've said it before you do not look 49 nowhere near it!

OMG, your birthday. And what a great way to kick it off with getting back into your workout routine. Go on girl, and you don't look nowhere near 49.
