I see you have been busy styling away up in here!!! I love the flat twist, how long did you keep them in? What was tht twist out like? I bet it was Awesome!! I see you are on a trip. I hope you had a grand time!! Love ya!

WHEW!!! I'M BACK!!!!

What a trip...the kids hard work really paid off!!! They placed (both the junior and senior teams) Elite standings!!!

So now we get a two week break and they started recruiting for next drill team season (Aug - June). We got home about 9am this morning...and I took a shower and out I went!! Keeping up with teenagers is really hard work, in fact Mr. Xander went to sleep about 12noon and he is still sleep!!!

Anyway...I took down my flat twists and I tried a twist out.......it was okay, but I really did like the way it looked because the ends were kinda straight. So I took my henna out of the freezer, did a pre-poo using HairVeda's Vatika Frosting....(this stuff smells like cake batter for real!!!) Now....I'm sitting here with the remains of my 1st and 2nd henna on myhair!!

I plan to DC with HairVeda's Vatika Frosting (this was a gift from a curly friend) and my Darcy's deep conditioner!! Then I will do the 3 step moisture method using HairVeda's Vatika Frosting and then twist with UFD!! I hope to have pictures sometime later today!!

I'm still a little weary so I'm going to look around the neighborhood, and then go to bed!!!

I really missed being on here last week, but I can see from everyone's avatar there has been some mad styling going on up in here!!!!

Thanks ladies....it wasn't a trip for the faint of heart!!! LOL I'm glad to be back!!! I can say that Charlotte is a beautiful city (the parts I saw) and I wish I had more alone time!!

The park was so much fun and the best part was my funnel cake with powdered sugar, whipped cream, strawberries, and ice cream!!! I couldn't even eat half, but what I did eat was soooooo good!!! LOL

I was glad to have some time off but I was ready to get back home to rest, and catch up with my curlysisterfriends!!!

Hey Lynn.....thanks those kids ministered!!! I wish I had a video of their performance, but I do have a clip of what they did outside of the convention center after they received their Elite trophy. I'll post later today!!

So last I posted I had henna from my 1st and 2nd treatment on my hair. I must say that I had more than enough to apply for complete coverage. I rinsed and detangled with Suave conditioner, and used HairVeda's Vatika Frosting and Darcy's deep conditioner for my DC. Put on my heat cap. That was about 4 hrs ago. I am just sitting here now being lazy because the Vatika Frosting smells so good I don't want to rinse it out!!! LOL

Anyway....after I do the 3 step process for moisture (water, oil and cream) using Giovanna Direct Leave-in, EVCO and seal with a little Vatika Frosting I'll start twisting with my UFD products!! I'll post the result this evening!!

I took off today so I plan to run a couple of errands, cook and get some more rest!!!

Thanks Sweet!!! I took off today (wish I had taken the whole week) so I could rest and relax!! Mr. Xander has been sleep since 12noon yesterday. I guess my son is really tired....you think!!!

Do know that funnel cake was yummy for sure!!

Penny was so long over due for this TLC!!! Remember when I had her twisted almost 2 1/2 weeks ago the stylist didn't use any products so I'm giving Penny the works.

I haven't used HairVeda's Vatika Frosting before...a friend of mine gave it to me about a month ago so I thought I would try it last night. If you look on your container it has about 4 different ways you can use the product. When I took my twist down Sunday...Penny wasn't dry but she wasn't as hydrated a I would have liked, so I'm going to use at least 3 of the 4 different usages to bring Penny back to where she was 3 weeks ago. Here is how I've used the frosting so far...

Step 1: Used as a pre-poo before shampooing with my Bee Mine shampoo bar. The instructions stated to apply to hair 1 hr before shampooing.

Step 2: Used with conditioner and leave on for 1 hr. Well since I henna'ed last night I used the VHF with my Darcy's conditioner for 4 hr deep conditioner. I left it on longer because Penny is usually very dry after I do a henna treatment. (also I feel asleep)

Step 3: I will seal as instructed on the container after I do the first 2 steps of the moistures seal method that Nubie and Lynn suggested that I try.

You can also use as an oil rinse as well at least 3 times a week. If I co-wash this week I'll try that as well.
