JOME, i think the twistout is a good idea, but if you cant do that then i would probably do a wash n go and maybe find some hair acessories or some killer earrings and maybe makeup

So last night, I was inspired by Lynnieluve to do a twistout. I used...

My trusty homemade conditioning gel


and Taliah Waajid Lock It Up Gel


and my fingers...no comb cuz it was the middle of the night when I did this and I was sleepy, lol.



The twists came out really nice, but not so good in the back because my hair is shorter. The next morning, I did the twistout, but when I fluff my hair to cover the parts I made....Lucy went on a mean streak....



So...I just put my bonnet back on and went back to sleep out of frustration. So when I woke up again, I just put my water/glycerin spray, coconut oil, and conditioning gel on Lucy and voila!



I probably have a better twistout when my hair grows out some more....

When you are in the TWA stage, you have to wear your twist for a day or two to get a good twist out. When your hair gets longer, then you can have an overnight twist out!!

You did a good job on your twist!!!!

Ooooh.....so that's what I did wrong, lol! I'll remember that next time.

So here is an update of what I did for my hair for the formal gathering. I thought I looked pretty fly and Lucy was popping lovely.

Thank you! I got it at Claire's and got caught up with the "buy one, get one half off" sale and ended up with two headbands, lol! They are cute though...

Giovanni SAS conditioner, ECOstyler gel, aloe vera gel, Suave conditioner, argan oil leave in moisturizer, and olive oil

But, I didn't use the conditioning gel this time. I just cowash with HEHH conditioner and left some conditioner in my hair, put some coconut oil on it, and rake some Taliah Waajid Lock It Up gel through my hair and that's it.

Thanks! I'm just now getting into eyeshadows....the camera didn't really pick up the colors I used for my eyes which was kinda gold/shimmering brown, but I'm trying.

So this is just a quick update. Lucy has been fabulous thanks to Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie (I loooooooove this stuff, lol!). So my mom convinced me to blow out my hair for the convention this past weekend. It was nice on the first day (Friday), but I got bored quickly and rocked a WnG for the rest of the weekend.
