I was so excited to hear all the reports of the hair show! And a little jelly that I didn't get to go but the pics look great! I wish they had stuff like that in Cali more often ...
But I'm about ready to let these twist go! I just want to play in my hair because I love doing that. I don't know how some people (on fotki especially) leave their hair in twists for 3-5 weeks at a time! I just couldn't do it. So I'm planning on doing a twistout tomorrow. Yay! My favorite hairstyle
It seems like everyone had a great weekend so I hope that fabulousness spills over into this coming week!!!!!!
I left mine in for a month back in January. It's a lot easier to do when you are extremely busy otherwise it will drive you bananas
GM sis! Can't wait to see the twist out. Tia is right, the busier you are the more likely you are to not want to bother with your hair. Since I'm still the the twa stage I rock my style usually for a month at time. I goes something like this:
Week 1-2: two strand twists
Week 3: twist to coils
Week 4: coil out that fades to wng
I may try to stretch this to a 6 week thang. When I do thus routine I'll usually co wash once a week. Week 4 is always pretty interesting because Seffy will do whatever she's wants and I just fluff and live with it.
Ummm isn't today your first day of SPRING BREAK???? Enjoy your well deserved time off!

Oh ok that makes sense. It you have other things to do, your hair is likely to be the last thing on your to do list! lol I think I just assume that if I leave Chlo alone for weeks at a time with only a co wash in between she'll turn into a tangled mess that will be a disaster to detangle! But I shouldn't assume until I've tried it I guess.
And thank you! Yes it's the first day of spring break and I slept WAY too much! lol

Aww man JnB!!! I hope you enjoyed the time you had off though! I plan on getting lots of rest instead of going crazy and trying to go everywhere and do everything. My friends went up to San Francisco Friday (without me *tear*) and then they'll be going to Vegas when they come back. I wanted to go but my wallet was looking a little empty ... LOL
Good afternoon curly family!!!!
So I only wore the twists for a week before they became crazy fuzzy!!
I wore it in an updo for church yesterday (no pics cuz it's the same one from page 14 )
And today I decided to do a twist out and shout! It's actually very fuzzy, not really frizzy in my opinion. Fuzzy referring to how it feels and frizzy referring to how it looks. But i like it! Here's some pics:
So that's how this twistout turned out. I will most likely try to wear the twist out undisturbed for a few days before I either
1) rinse the twistout or
2) pick the twist out apart to make it bigger!
Have a fabulous Monday lovely ladies

Oh yeah for some reason I really wanted to count the number of twists I had in my head so the grand total was:
DRUMROLL PLEASE!!!!
**********************************************************
120 TWISTS! No wonder it took so long to twist them. Jeez Louise!! lol

Twist out looks lovely! One way I cut down on the frizz for a twist out is cowash with the twists still in. And then when I'm undoing the twists I use shea butter to moisturize and seal.

I REALLY LOVE twist-outs on you ... they way your hair falls - it frames your face perfectly. I honestly can't imagine you with straight hair!

I love that twist out. All 120 of them. I think the smaller the better on you, IMO. I know it is alot of work but it really frames your face nicely. What do you think?

Thank you IB!! And yeah I agree!!! I love small twists and small twist outs because I like how they frame my face and the way they fall too I might have to start making someone else twist once Chlo "The Fro" gets longer! lolIntelligentbeauty wrote:I love that twist out. Thanks Nubie!! Yeah I embrace the frizz because that just means bigger, badder hair!NubieNatty wrote:ur twist out is definitely nice n full...but then what do u expect wit 120 of em. i think about day 3 my twist get frizzy but it works out cuz i end up with the wild full look in the back.
Lol yeah you should count them! It doesn't hurt to know right?FemmeFox wrote:Hmmmmm maybe I'll count my twists when I do them this weekend.
Re: bholmes87: twist challenge week 5!! Let's get it in!
It's a lovely Tuesday morning!!! I hope you guys are having a marvelous day so far
So I figured something out last night: my hair does soooooo much better without a satin bonnet!!! I need to go buy a satin pillow case because my hair wasn't even smushed at all! And all I did was lay this satin headscarf on my pillow (it's pretty long and it's the same one I use to do my puffs). Let me tell you, I sleep WILD!!!!! There's no sleeping pretty where I'm concerned so I expected some kind of mess when I woke up. But alas, the twistout looks better than yesterday!
(this is my twist and shout dance!!)
I'll take some pictures after my shower because the steam will make Chlo even badder than before!
Be blessed family

LOL!!! I do the same thing! Even while my hair was permed, if my hair was in a style, it looked better with my scarf on my pillow instead of my head. Cant wait for pics!
