Twist Challenge!!!!

So a few of us over in the Butters-N-Bars Challenge have been talking about doing a twist challenge: Notthecoolmom, Lynnieluve, Cocacolacutie and Karyn!!! Here are the loose guidelines. If you have more to add, PLEASE DO! Anything we can do to make the challenge better is greatly appreciated

1. The challenge will last for at least 6 weeks

2. You must wear your hair in twists during the duration of the challenge (2-strand or 3-strand twists)

3. You can wear your hair out on the weekends - wash n go, twist out, etc.

4. Keep your ends protected and moisturized

5. Use this thread to give updates and ask questions

Some other things to keep in mind:

- I was thinking it should be a "pin-up twist challenge" so that we keep our hair twisted and off of our shoulders as well.
- We can add time to this challenge at any point if you guys would like to.
- Suggestions are helpful!

So if you're down, then get twisted up!!! Because we will be starting this challenge next week and it will go until the end of May 2010. So get ready, Get Ready, GET READY!!!

SN: Shorter haired curlies wouldnt be able to participate in the pin up aspect of the challenge so you did right by just calling it a twist challenge.

Great minds really do think alike!!! NTCM just started a thread as well so check out her challenge as well! It's also a 6 week challenge but she is challenging you to keep the twists pinned up!!!!

I stick with this challenge. I am not comfortable wearing my hair pinned up everywhere (specifically church..LOL) just yet. I will probably pin it up sometimes though.

I'm in of course. I'll try to incorporate some pinup styles, but I'm not promising to always keep them up.

Sounds good! I'm taking down my baby twists this weekend. It will be six weeks for me. I may join a week after your start date to give my hair some time to breath. Count me in!

I'll probably join you ladies. I'm also twisted up right now too. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I usually twist out for a whole week, so just twisting out for the weekends, will be hard, but I'm gonna stick to it. I'm in!!

After wearing twist 3yrs, I've decided to take a break from my beloved twist, but I'll be rooting you guys on from the sidelines. And for those who aren't sure if twist really grows your hair, I went from this:

I think I may join in a couple of weeks. I've been in braids (natural braids) for a month and I need a bit of a break. Although I'm twists challenged. For some reason when I do them they don't stay, they swell up really huge if even a little water gets near them, and only lasts a couple of days. I still haven't figured out what I'm doing wrong , when I wear braids I can get a least a week out of them. But no time like the present to learn

oooo...I wish my twist swell up!!!! My hair is not so thick, just full!!! My twist does not last a full week either..I usually do them on Friday and again on Tuesday

Recently I put myself on a twist challenge to keep my hair twisted for 6wks and it was suppose to end on the weekend or April 30th, My 5th year anniversary [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] , but I would love to extend it for you ladies. I will take a week break in between because I want to wear a rodset for my anniversary weekend. But I am definitely in.

I'm going to see if I can get my sister to twist my hair up for me this weekend. If she does then I'm in This will be my first hairstyle challenge...I'm usually to lazy to participate lol

i want to try and join...lemme sleep on it (like danity kane ...thats my jam) and i'll get back at ya....by sunday
