SisterBoyd~ I know what you mean, but I only have grey right in the front along my hair line!!! So I just use a rinse as needed which is about every other week!

Blondie~
The two tone look will look good on you. I've seen a few naturals on YouTube that had dark roots and color on the ends...NICE.
I'm sure a PJ that I know from what I've read that we have different hair textures, but I'm so interested in the products you just received. I'm not going to do any research...I refuse or it will go on my wish list that is already too long!!
I agree with the others...I like reading your posts as well!

I've had my color for over 10 years now. I may one day decide to grow it out. But I will have black/gray/blonde hair . I have gray hairs sprouting up all over the place and my color doesn't hide it.
My curls package to should be delivered today. I got steps 1-4. My Elasta Care came on Monday I got 2 16oz bottles.

You have to tell me how it works for you! It'll probably take a little time for your hair to get used to it, remember to clarify first!
As an FYI, I get wavier results when I just put the FLS and rake it through with my fingers, I get a curlier result when I apply the FLS in sections and brush through with my Denman.

Thanks! I hope it will, I think that it may be a color that I've NEVER seen before!! It was bright orange as a child (I think the relaxer had something to do with it) and between relaxing and semi-permanent colors, I don't remember the color when it was natural. This will be new territory!
That's the great thing about My Honey Child...she makes things for ALL types, and many of the products can be used by anyone. You should take a gander at the website...and it's all natural to boot!

Re: ~BACK TO BLONDE!!~ PJ Extraordinaire!
Ok, ladies...2 more packages today!
Kinky-Curly Knot today and Koils by Nature Nourshing Hair & Body Butter in Heavenly Delight.
Can you believe I've never tried the Knot Today?! I do so love to alternate, so we'll see if this makes my regular rotation. Will let you know! I hope it does, cuz I'm lovin' the ingredients!!!
Ingredients: organic Mango fruit extract, organic slipper elm, organic marshmallow root, organic lemongrass, cetyl alcohol, behentrimonium methosulfate, citric acid, phenoxyethanol and natural fragrance.
The KBN, although hair and body, will only be used on my hair! I previously ordered some of the gel and was sent a sample of this. After getting over the adorableness of the minature little jar (am I the ONLY one who loves litte teeny bottles and jars and stuff?!) I was happily surprised to find a filled to the brim sample. I used the whole jar on 2nd day hair (I went from root to tip on each "rope" of hair, and did my scalp). This is the first product that added both moisture AND sealing! Some may balk at the $30 for 16oz (it does come in smaller sizes), but once you read the ingredients, you see that you are getting a jar chock full of quality ingredient. I'm hooked on this stuff, and I plan on trying some of the other scents.
Ingredients: Shea butter, kokum butter, mango butter, avocado & aloe butter, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, sweet almond oil, kosher vegetable glycerin, organic honey, hydrolyzed jojoba protein, vitamin E, grapefruit seed extract, essential and fragrance oils.

I have the Koils by Nature butter in sweet almond joy. It smells so good and has a nice light consistency. It reminds me of a pound cake batter.

They can be used for either, but I only use them for my hair. I use a shea butter mix for my skin.

The best thing to do is to order by ingredients, and what your hair needs!

Re: ~BACK TO BLONDE!!~ PJ Extraordinaire!
Some things I think I've come to realize...
Methinks I'm gonna get me some pure pomegranate and argan oil.
I am officially in luuuuuv with my many Denman brushes.
And denial doesn't change things. Every several years, my weak spot goes nuts and breaks. Sigh...it's happened yet again. Doesn't matter if my hair is relaxed, natural, pressed, colored, bleached, or virgin, I have a spot right below and to the right of my crown that will break off every so often. The first time was in hight school. It was so bad that I had to cut my whole head. That spot wouldn't grow, it felt like straw, was so coarse, didn't even look like it belonged on my head. After that, that spot would always be thin. Unfortunately, it sometimes just breaks off. I found that as a natural, it was easily hidden, and by just by micro-trimming the ends of that spot will heal itself. I think my decision to grow out the blonde can't do anything but help. The less stress on that spot the better.
Also, I think (maybe it's just wishful thinking) that my hair will have more volume without the bleach. Although the bleach didn't change the curl pattern, it was never as thick as the unbleached roots. Same curl pattern, not as thick. I'm thinking (hoping) that if that is an all over thickness, not just a root thing, then my hair will stand up more. Oh Lord, let us hope so!! AND...my roots are much darker than I remember! I now the relaxer did all kinds of funky things to the color (I had bright orange hair as a child, no...I REALLY did!!) I realized I'd never seen my hair color sans relaxer.
I'm really excited, I know it will be a good year, but I can't wait to see my hair totally chemical free!
