....Folding hands, bent head....Please do not let vmichelle go crazy in the Vitamin Shoppe, find the conditioner and coconut oil quickly then immediately go to the register to make her purchase.
Re: VMichelle
LOL at my Mentor Chrs...Sweetdrk1 you seem to know what the real deal is. Im going to praying my entire bus ride over!! LOL Details to follow ladies
Re: VMichelle
Alright ladies...I went to the Vitamin Shoppe and picked up my purchases and I did good...I controlled myself not only for my budget purposes, but also because the selection of hair care was limited. They did have what I needed though so I picked up my two products of:
Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
Aubry's Organic Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner
I looked at the jojoba oil, but I think they were too expensive. I would rather support a fellow natural who has a natural hair care line. Does anyone know of anyone? In the meantime, I will be creating my own mixture of moisturizer for my hair as soon as I get my shea butter honey and avocado oil and glycerin ( I am also looking for that from a natural beauty as well)
Tootles!

I am so in love with my BC: Twist out results
Day 3 Week 1
Hey Ladies,
So, many of you have been asking about the BC
twistout pictures and here they are. I am really proud at how they came
out considering I didn't really use a lot of products. I used Pantene's
Relaxed and Natural Conditioner as my co-wash (which I won't do again,
not enough slip) and put some Creme of Nature Lemongrass & Rosemary
Leave-in Creme Conditioner. I them went into my kitchen, slipped some
olive oil of the ends and began to twist. My mom gave me this Wondergro
Shea Butter Oil and I put some of that on the ends as well. usually
when I would do twistouts my ends would be as hard a brillo pad. Just
that ONE night of putting olive oil and the shea butter oil on my ends
made a HUGE difference. When I came home from the NYE festivities I
sealed my ends with some the coconut oil that I bot from the Vitamin
Shoppe. I could immediately feel the difference in twisting my oil. Its
like my hair was screaming for the oil and moisture from the coconut
oil. I think "she" loves me know and will start to "act right" when I
style her. LOL. I could tell the difference in the morning as well. Any
who here are the pics ladies. Enjoy! (and don't forget to check out my
blog http://mynaturalme.blogspot.com

Four Day Old Twist Out...hmmmm
Hello Ladies!
So my flat twist are about four days old today and I am really excited to see what they will look like when I take them down. I left them in all day yesterday because I didn't really go anywhere. Funny thing is that I took off my bonnet and walked out the door, not even realizing that I didn't have anything to hide the two strand platts in my head! LOL...now before the BC and me becoming comfortable with my hair, I would have freaked out went back home and got something to cover my head. Instead, I walked through the grocery store proud of my twist because "if they only knew"! My boyfriend looked at me kind of weird and was like it that a hairstyle? I said "No boo, this is the work that needs to be done to achieve that nice curly twist out you like! LOL
Anywho, I am going to dinner with friends tonight so I will show you guys the results before I leave. I put some coconut oil all over again last night because they were starting to feel a bit dry. I need to hurry up and head to the beauty supply store to pick up my spray bottle so I can make up some spritz. My scalp is also starting to itch so I think I may try to grab some tea tree or rose oil to help with the dryness. If you guys have favorite spritz mixers, PLEASE share!!
Later!

Re: VMichelle
Thanks to ALatina, I mix water, conditioner and aloe vera gel. The ratio is about 75% water, 20% conditioner and 5% aloe vera gel. Aloe vera gel can sometimes act as a humectant so I do not want to have my hair dry out.
You could definitely add the oils to it to calm dryness and itching or other EOs for growth, scent and health. I also use strong organic teas to spritz on my hair instead of plain water. I plan to add essential oils to it I recently purchased. I figure why not improve the tea even more.

Re: VMichelle
WOW @ that twistout. You did that with flat twists? You put my flat twistout to shame...I have yet to have one that I absolutely love. Come Spring or summer time I'm hoping my temples have thickened up enough. VERY NICE.
Re: VMichelle
Thanks AfrikanLatina!!! You will get there girl...check the BC pics for how I did them. The front is pretty much form the crown down and the back I split into two horizontal sections and did them that way. Maybe if I can master my new digital camera, I will do a tutorial or something.
Mentor,I think I may use your strategy with using strong teas to my spritzer instead of water. Is green strong enough? What about Chamomile?

Four Day Old Twist Out Pics
Hey guys..okay so I took down my four days old flat twist and boy did
they look like they were four days OLD!!! LOL..they were a little dry
and the ends were flat so I wanted to try a different style to see how
it would turn out. I got the idea from watching BlacOnyx on You Tube.
Its her twist out three style in one video. While I am happy with the
results of my first time doing it I KNOW it will be better once I get
my regimen together. My hair is really dry so I plan to do a deep
conditioner tomorrow after work and the baggie method later on that
week. Not sure what I will use yet for the baggie, but as ALWAYS I am
talking suggestions. Enough with the babbling here are the pics as
promised...enjoy!!!

Re: VMichelle
Cute!! You are working it Soror!!
My suggestion for the baggie method would be oils. I've tried an olive oil and coconut oil combo and loved it. I've also tried the oil by Africa's Best and was happy with the results.

Thanks Soror... I will definitely try your method this weekend. Do you pit it all over or just on the ends?
