Re: VMichelle
I have steps 2 - 4 of the line. I do not have the cleansing cream. The smell is like vanilla frosting or cake batter, delish. I like the products. They are not heavy enough for me.
OK I'm depressed
Ok soooooooo...YEAH
I am depressed, well not really but my hair had its first "bad hair day". So you ladies know that I planned to rock my twist out after the 7 day protective style? Yeah well ummm NO that was not happening. I took my twist out and they were a dry MESS!!! No definition and limp curls in some places. I asked my BF to touch my hair because I wanted to see if it was just me. He said that my hair was soft (it felt that way when I was taking them down and running my fingers through, but it just LOOKED dry! He agreed. I'm not sure what I did wrong. I think it could have been that my hair wasn't receiving the oils that it should have. I hadn't been putting that much in my hair because it was in its protective state. Is this were I messed up? Should I apply oils to my hair even when its in its resting state? Advice ladies PLEASE!!!
Today I will be posting my first you tube video at the request of one of my twitter followers. HA ...we will see how that one goes. I'm going to prepoo my hair with my conditioner and oil mix, shampoo with Organix coconut milk (got a lot of product build up and my scalp is creaming for a good cleansing) DC with EVOO/EVCO for the first time and seal with my shea/CO/tea tree mix that I will whip up. Wish me luck ladies and I promise to come back and report!

She's BACK!!!
Hey Ladies,
Mikele is BACK!!! This may be do to the fact that I am jamming to Beyonce and felt inspired to grab the camera. I couldn't help it, she just let loose!! See the pics of her below.
On another note, I did my firt EVOO/EVCO DC last night and sealed with my shea butter/CO/tea tree oil mix. I woke up and boy was my hair GREASY, but man was it soft!!!
At first I wore it all out and some bangs pulled down, but I quickly had to pull it up because my forehead was a' shinin!!! LOL..I think that I will attempt the bang thing again when I don't have as much buildup from the DC and shea butter. My head was gleaming yall. I could have taken the grease form my hair and used it as lip gloss. I guess this lets me know my hair is moisturized? I did notice however that my hair got hard and kind of froze up because of the air. It wasn't really that cold only 45 degrees. I am excited for what my hair will look for the rest of the week. I am going to attempt a puff. Let's hope I get it down.
Finally, I have some very exciting news. It seems as though I have started a BC and natural hair trend at my work place. I had a student facebook me last night that she has done it!! That's right yall. She BC'd and cut about 6-8 inched of her locs OFF. Now I had been pressuring her to go natural all year because I knew that she had a nice texture (I could tell from her roots that needed touched up with the CC). She told me that after reading my blog on Sunday she just decided to go and get it done! I feel so inpsired by her and humbled that I have been able to influence her in such a short time in my natural journey. I am helping her with a regimen so stay tuned as a feature not only her journey but mine as well. I will get permission from her before I post pics and such. I think I will be successful thought. If I pressured her into a BC sharing her story will be a piece of cake!! Stay tuned yall

Re: VMichelle
Thanks sweetdrk. Although I felt like I had a horrible hair day, I got quite a few compliments...I was like thanks but don't touch it or you'll have enough grease to fry some chicken!!!! LOL
Re: VMichelle
I'm late and wrong too, but I use the entire CURLS line....I LOVE IT!! Best conditioner in the world!
I don't do protective styles, but I would think you would need to moisturize even while wearing protective styles.
And congrats on your convert to natural!

Thanks Blondie!!! We have to work on next months feature for your "column" . Any ideas on topics?
Re: VMichelle
I've heard from others that you do need to moisturize your twists in protective styles. I've been oiling my scalp with my oil mix, as well as putting some Afroveda Moisture Mask on the twists themselves. But now that you told me the results of yours, I'm also going to start putting some oil on the ends now because I'm going to do the twist out in a few days.

Re: VMichelle
VMichelle, did you rinse the DC out? Sounds like you didnt rinse enough out. Sorry about the bad hair day. Your definitely have to moisturize when you are in protective styles. I usually do it every other night.

Re: VMichelle
When I DC overnight or for an hour, I never seal in the oil. You may want to try this next time. As far as the oil slick, I can definitely relate.
As others have written, moisturize your hair even when in protective styles. I usually spritz with a strong tea apply moisturizer then seal at least once a day.

Thanks ladies!!!!
@Lynee. I washed it out using cool water. Should I have did warm first? I will try it again definitely because it definitely made my hair super soft and next time I will stay under the water a little longer!!

I usually start with warm water then gradually move to cool/cold water.

Yep! I work for a company called CAMPUSPEAK as one of their workshop facilitators so I had to do one for over 60 students!
IM BAAAAACK!
Hey Ladies!!!
Im so sorry that I have been MIA lately. As I said before, work is kicking my BUTTTTTT! Anywho, I know I said that I planned on doing the up do this weekend, but I was super lazy after the program that I had to do at Rutgers. Those students took EVERY BIT OF ENERGY I had so today I'm just rocking a fro/puff! I will be doing a DC on my hair tonight and using some Safi Avocado and Shea Butter mix on my hair for the updo. I think I will try something new today and do my twist on mostly dry hair to see the results! I'll keep you posted!!! I also need more features for the blog so let me know if you want to showcase your curls and be featured!!!!
