35 and older Naturals...where are you and what are you wearing?

I usually henna every 2 - 3 weeks! I havent tried or heard of the coffee grinds. The pack of henna that I bought has different things for you to try to achieve different colors. The beet juice and carrot juice are a few of the suggestions!

Just read you Henna conversation. I purchased henna around Christmas last year and it is still sitting on my counter, box unopened. Someone told me it changes the texture of your hair. You ladies seem to like it but I'm still a little nervous about using it and I am not sure how to use it.

Oh and RYL1, glad to hear you left the dark side. Co-wash is the only way to go I love, love, love, love, love it.

Freeatlast there is a thread called LETS TALK ABOUT HENNA there is a wealth of information there with the ladies speaking of their different experiences with henna. Henna has not changed the texture of my hair but then again that's my experience. You should also visit the thread SHOW ME YOUR MIXES AND PICTURES there they have different recipes for henna there are a lot of different ingredients you can use. Good luck in your decision!

Supposedly, THEY say that henna can loosen the curl pattern- that has not been my experience! Others have stated that the change is temporary! However, that has not been my experience!

ok so I am just seeing this thread and I am 43 will turn 44 this year. I don't know if I am mature..LOL because I wear my hair however I want. I am a call center manager for a large corporation so I am often in the presence of executives with my TWA or my Twists or whatever floats my boats with my suits! HA!!!

Yeah we did take OVER that booth for quite some time! lol Well I washed,twisted and trimmed my hair today! I think that's what it really needed b/c when I got to where you twirl the ends around your finger my finger didn't get all caught up in the hair and when I tested one of the twist to see how it would untwist (took my finger from the roots all the way down)It was very easy no frizz on the ends will try to remember to do this every 6-8wks.

@naturalhoney Yep. that's the ticket. I love how my twistouts look right after I trim my hair
