2011 Weight Loss Challenge!

Hi ladies, hope you don't mind if I join you. I am on my own challenge but would be fun to do as a group. I was losing before the holidays. Kind of lost my mind since then. I'll post my weight tonight!

Hi Poeticlyspkng!! Girl who you tellin!!!??? LOL I lost my mind long before the holidays!!!! I was doing ok before Thanksgiving but it all went down hill since then. So now I gotta get back up!!! Welcome!!! We're glad to have you!!

And so far so good. I used to do two workouts a day, may still every now and then. My only thing with that though is once you stop doing all that working out, the weight is so much easier to come back. That's why I am TRYING to limit myself. I don't wanna gain it all back just cuz I decide I wanna cut down on the workouts. Just like you know how on Biggest Loser (which I am watching now, one of my favorite shows) after they leave the campus when it's all over, a lot of them gain some back because they are no longer working out so much.

Can't wait til Sunday though to see what we all have accomplished!

I know! I can't wait to hit scale!

Thanks to misskris I am here and want to join too!! I will update my profile and everything as soon as I have a chance. So you can get to know me a bit more. I've been on this site for awhile but just observing and reading threads for months but never really interacted until now I feel like this will help me personally because of the support system. I too want to lose some weight for a number of reasons mainly for health.

Height: 5'7
Start Weight: 175
Current Weight: 175
Goal Weight: 145

I have joined the gym with my fiance' and started working out yesterday. We are planning on alternating our weight training. One day we will do arms, next day legs etc. As far as dieting I am trying to stay away from complex carbs, sweets, and sodas. I love this idea and can't wait to come back to read how you are all doing and share my journey with you...

I need this challenge since the holidays I known have added more lbs than I need. I want to loose 15 lbs

You should try to find a Zumba class. Some are pricy though. The one I used to take was only $5 a class but now I see them for $15 (new city) But you can always buy a DVD. Such fun!!

I just got back and there was a 2 wk break because of the holidays......I could barely keep up I am going to be so soar tomorrow

yeah the music definitely gets ya goin!!!!

or last day ...that will work too. I guess people could do it anytime that last week. I'm sure some folks won't post at the same time. That's how we're doing it on the New Castor Oil Challenge. ANytime this week we can post our length checks.
