December 2
It's a windy & rainy day here today. Ok I was watching the news this morning and I'd already pulled my hair back but the weather girl said if you plan to wear your hair down go grab some AquaNet!!!! I was like WTH, they still make that. I haven't heard mention of that hair spray in years...that was my WOW moment for the day. Here's my hair today

Your puff looks pretty and shiny. Was your hair in a rod set that you pulled back?

Cocoeuro: Thanks! I put IC fantasia leave-in conditioner all around my edges and then I put EcoStyler Gel on my edges. i used a HUGE band and and doubled it as if I was using it as a headband. I then just pushed it back until it was placed where I wanted it
Serenity23: Thanks!Yes it was a rod set that I pulled back
Enchantment: Thanks Chica!

Flowers are cute! I have one from my wedding that I have been wanting to wear with my curls, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. My girlfriend made it for me when I had a meltdown about wearing the veil, lol. I ended up wearing both.

Meltdown?? really, glad it worked out. Funny that you wore both.
I keep forgetting to look for flowers when I'm out and about.

December 4 hair
Goodmorning Curly Divas,
So today is Friday and it's sooooo cold outside. When I took these pictures I was still trying to separate the curls, blend in my lip gloss, and stop an eye lash from blinding me. My eye lashes are super long and wild. I brush them no change, mascara makes them even longer and I don't know how to use a lash curler

Looks great as always! Your hair looks like it's grown since you started your journal!
Re: nmoultry hair journey
Take your long eye lashes as a blessing! There are ladies that go out and purchase some!

Thank you Diva!! You really think it's growing?? I can't tell but I thought about you this morning when I was trying hard to separate the curls. You asked a while back if I pull them apart daily. Girl I pulled curls apart for about 30 minutes this morning and they still curled back up even tighter I think. My curl pattern is fairly tight so I wonder if that's the issue. I was even sitting at the traffic light on my way to work pulling curls a part

I know but I can't do a darn thing with them because they are so wild. I think I'm going to buy some of those little brushes if I can remember next time I'm at the store

LOL it's a curl pullin day huh? Yes, the first thing I noticed is that your hair looks longer.

You sound like my lash twin. I tried mascara, curlers, vaseline.....nothing worked. Then I discovered this clear mascara by Covergirl (I think) and it works wonders.

Nope. It holds them just enough so that they won't flip under and poke you in the eyeball. The only problem I had was keeping my hands out of my eyes. If you are an eye rubber like me then the clear will start to flake. Once I got used to it, I didn't have that problem anymore.
Re: nmoultry hair journey
@ Tia: Yeah I rub my eyes constantly, but maybe if I put the clear mascara on there I won't

Re: nmoultry hair journey
Your rodsets and puff look cute.
As for hair for special events, do you like frohawks? I bet it would look good on you. You can dress it up with combs or other accessories. Another style I can envision on you is a side sweep with twists (flat, two strand) or braids and your curls at the end.
You mentioned something about not knowing how to use a lash curler. I purchased one a few months ago. It definitely helps to tame wild lashes. The package was on sale at Target and had two in there. I keep one in my purse since I don't wake up in time to do it before work.

@ ChrsLvsBks: Thank you!!! I tried the frohawk using a banana clip. That clip didn't stand a chance. My hair broke that thing. I haven't tried using combs to do it though.

My hair is still very curly today. It's a rainy day out so I still have on my bonnet. I misplaced my camera so I'm searching for it..

So which products are your favorites? What do you use to rod set your hair?

I love Design Essentials products, they work the best on my hair. I'm not an all natural product kind of girl, I'm a what-ever works
I use a foam setting lotion mixed with leave-in conditioner to rod my hair
