curly+kinky+fierce : LOL professional eater. I just realized that Thanksgiving is next week. SOOOO can't wait to eat & sleep & eat& sleep

ALatina: No they don't snag. I'm very careful taking them out. I take them out one by one and in the direction of the curl in a spiraling manner. How did you take them out???

ChrsLvsBks: Thank you!! It doesn't take as long as you think. ooooh I want to do the cabbage patch after the gym and they still look good.

Today is definitely Monday. I woke up with my allergies & sinuses kicking my tail. And guess who didn't get their prescription filled??? Now I have til wait until the Pharmacy open at 9. I've only sneezed 60 times in counting. I thought about working from home today but since I was dressed I decided to come on to the office. Only to find that I was out of cream for my coffee...........Ughhhh

I tried to pull my curls out but I missed some in the back

ur rod set is absolutely gorgeous! and wow, i have been having trouble with my allergies here lately too! i thought it was strange because usually, i dont have allergy trouble in the fall/winter months, just in the spring.... my main problem is itchy, watery eyes and occasional sneezing... what is up with that!? maybe i need to take some meds too!

Free2009: Thank you!!! back in the day my allergies were only Spring but now they are all dang year. My allergies got worse IMO when I got my tonsils removed 4 years ago. FYI: I advise any one other the age of 10 to just keep ur tonsils. The older you get the worse that crap hurts. It took me over a month to fully heal. I was mad as hell

I would unroll them in a spiral manner as well. It wouldn't be all of them that snagged just a few and I can't think of why that would happen. My rods have the little raised bumps on it(feels kinda rough) and I think that's what my hair would snag on. And it only happened to a few in the back..never in the front or where I could actually see what I was doing.

I added an elastic band to my hair today. My curls are still hanging on. I was just thinking how much I love this idea that Nikki created because I wouldn't take these many pics of my hair and I surely wouldn't know that it doesn't look the same daily. This is really cool.

Your hair looks so beautiful!! I haven't done a rod set since I was transitioning and then I just retired them after I discovered braidouts, LOL. You're making me miss them, I loved them so much! Maybe it's time to suck it up and go back and try them again... and get some bigger ones. I have the white rods. Those are smaller than the grey, right?

Wizarding wheezer, Thanks for the compliement. YES the white ones are smaller than the grey ones. I love the rods, I can't make a braid out/twist out last long. I sleep a little rough

I did the rodset once in my life and I absolutely loved it!! Your hair looks super cute. I agree that the rod set last so much longer than a twist out but it takes forever. I just dont have the patience. You've given me the inspiration to try again though.

LanaMarie, TRUST patience will come when you think about not having to re-twist or even think about doing your hair for a week. I think my hair could last longer but I'd go crazy if I didn't wash my hair weekly.

So true! I never take pics of my hair - until now of course. Like everyone else has said - your hair looks GREAT! I think our hair may be the same length so I'm going to try these one day soon! I can't believe I'm thinking about going to Sally's AGAIN this week lol. I sleep kinda hard so I don't know if my curls will last...They never do :-(

Do you just section with your fingers and roll? Or do you actually part your hair? And is this something you are able to do just sitting on the couch watching TV or do you have to be in front of the mirror? I'm a fan of things I can do while multi-tasking lol.

Thanks! I actually sit on the floor and do it. I do part my hair. I'd probably be quicker if I was in front of a mirror and not stop and actually watching tv and forget what I was doing..LOL

Goodmorning Curly Divas,

I hope everyone is doing great. I just added a headband to hair today. I woke up and evil mother nature has place a ginormous zit on my forehead. I guess I should be glad that it's not in the center of my forehead.

Goodmorning Curly Divas,

Not too much new going on with my hair. Same ole same ole over here. I think it's growing and I'm not sure how I feel about that. Sounds crazy but this is my first time with short hair and I'm enjoying the short curly look. I cut my hair every so often but when I do I get scissor happy.

I ordered some Cassia to see how I like it. I just ordered yesterday though. I didn't get henna because I have color and I'm not trying to enahnce my blond to bright red...LOL

From what I've read and been told, Cassia doesn't deposit color like Henna. I have hi-lites and I'm scared Henna will turn them rooster red and that's not the look I'm going for..LOL

So basically Cassia is more conditioning without the color
