Sweetdrk, my curls are very tight also and I have some super shrinkage. I love your hair!!!! I was thinking just the other day that when my hair grows back I'm going to be MISERABLE because I'm loving the rod set on my current length. Thank you for the compliment!

I am going to pull a curl and let you see the length....but if we have the same type of curls...any length the rod set will be beautiful! That was one of my FAV permed hair styles. My curls would last forever..they would not be tamed...even with the creamy crack! You are most welcome!!!

Good Evening Curly Divas,

So after my "wash'n don't go" I had to go back to my faithful rod set. I rolled it a little bit different this time but it's the pretty much the same.

I removed the baggy this morning and sat under the steamer for 30 minutes. I detangled my hair while I was in the shower.

The other day I think loveself247 asked about length after the big chop. I'm posting a length pic so she can see. I don't think my hair is a good example for the following reasons.

Although I transitioned for 12 months, I got my ends trimmed every 6 weeks, I got one major hair cut during transition, I big chopped July 2009 and then I cut my hair again in a layered bob in October. So I'm 3.5 months post big chop and this is stretched length

Yeah it's beautiful! Do you leave it tightly coiled like that or do you pull the curls out a bit as the days go by?

I pull them out every morning (try to anyway). Sometimes I think they get tighter as the week progress. I work out so I guess I shouldn't complain about my hair not really loosening. Thank you for the compliment.

Good morning Curly Divas,

Today is definitely Monday. I woke up with my allergies & sinuses kicking my tail. And guess who didn't get their prescription filled??? Now I have til wait until the Pharmacy open at 9. I've only sneezed 60 times in counting. I thought about working from home today but since I was dressed I decided to come on to the office. Only to find that I was out of cream for my coffee...........Ughhhh

I tried to pull my curls out but I missed some in the back

Oh now this pic is funny. I set the camera timer and as soon as I finished sneezing....

@nmoultry are you twisting in a downward motion and not out? If you keep your fingers close to your scalp and make sure you're pulling in a down and not out, you might have better results...it helped me a lot!

Have you ever found that the rods pull or snag on your hair sometimes? I used to do rod sets when I was pregnant and maybe I was just taking them out wrong.

Your rod sets are too cute. Oh, the patience you must have. For them to last during your workouts is a plus.
