Also, I wanted to say that you look good girl. I am inspired to stay focused and lose 20lbs I've lost 10 in the last three months, so I know I can do 20 now that I will be exercising on a regular starting June 21st. My goal is to be fit and trim by my 50th birthday next year!!
What's going on new with your curls?
Have a great day!!

I'm been MIA, but I see you have been rocking some cute styles. That curly fro was hot!!! Love your new avi!!!
I will have to check UFD products for the first 5 ingredients as well. My hair loves everything I've tried from them.

Hey KNH and thank you! Congratulations on losing 10 lbs and you will accomplish the other 20. Believe me I know because I used to be overweight. Eating right and exercising will help you get there. And you do not look like you're going to be 50
Right now my curls feel dry and I'm just trying to give my hair what it likes!

Re: Krazy Coils,
@QuietButterfly - thank you!
Happy Friday Curlies!!
Not a lot in hair news except lately I have noticed that my hair seems really dry with the increasing temperatures. I think that I need to increase how often I wet my hair. I was only washing once a week but early in my hair journey I would co-wash midweek either Wednesday or Thursday and I experienced no problems.
So yesterday I co-washed with TJ Tea Tree Tingle and added a capful of castor oil to my conditioner. Since I am reducing my use with the heavy hair butters for the warmer months I used two leave-ins. One was water based (KBN shealoe) and the other was not Shea moisture leave-in(not the one from Target) which I used as my styler since its a creamy leave-in. I use safflower oil to seal in the moisture and I also used Aubrey Organics Mandarin Jelly. Its a light natural gel that leaves a soft hold.
My hair feels and looks moisturized so I will start to use water more ofter whether its co-washing or rinsing my hair.

I think it's time for me to change up the regi, too. My hair is feeling a little drier than normal. I see you mentioned using a water based leave in and an aloe based leave in. That maybe something I should try. My hair was a TWA last summer and was so easy, now I have to reinvent the wheel.
Re: Krazy Coils,
@ Curls Galore - I know it was so easy when I only had to rake in products and go! I am also going to try kimmaytube's leave-in method this weekend. She adds aloe vera to her leave-in with some oils. I am hoping that aloe is going to help with this dry hair

Re: Krazy Coils,
So this weekend I decided to revisit the wash n go again. Now that my hair is longer than my twa stage they are not as quick to do so I don't do them that often. My plan was to use coilskinkscurls method of the wash n go on hair that has dried in twists and I made a batch of the eco custard to do this style. Well this was operation fail because my hair was white and it didn't seem to absorb into my hair. I don't know if it was because my hair was not wet and the ecostyler was mixed with the other oils but I've never had a problem with ecostyler gel by itself on my hair with a wash n go. The next time I try her method I will use gel by itself.
So I co-washed my hair and this gave me an excuse to use my UFD Curly magic which I got from a natural hair show and had not used yet. I used the UFD leave-in conditioner Good Hair along with the Curly magic:
Mini Review of the Curly magic: This gel is the ish! I'm not really into gels the way I use to be but I love this! I don't think I've ever used a gel that has slip. Extracts of marshmallow root are the second ingredient and marshmallow root is known for providing slip. Anywho I had no problem working my fingers through my hair to smooth and fingerstyle. It dries with a very soft hold and no crunch. Its a bit pricey but I think its worth it.
So I allowed my hair to airdry and I was really satisfied with the Curly magic. At my current length my wng's always dry into a fro so I'm not looking for hang. So here are some pics:
In these pics I had just applied product and my hair is still wet:
My hair was dry in these photos and my Friend Shrinkage showed up (lol)!
Sorry for the long post I still prefer my braidouts and twistouts to the wash n to!

Re: Krazy Coils,
Hey KC,
Your wash n go looks fantastic! I have total hair envy, LOL. You're with KNH and the UFD products.
I'm trying to cut back on heavy products on my hair too. I'm thinking that lighter is better in this heat.

Re: Krazy Coils,
Cute Wash n Go!!!
So I have a question: Will you continue to wear your wash n go all week?
When my hair shrinks, it gets so tangled. So you will probably wash your wash n go out, right?

Since I'm a wash n go person with my TWA. If you get tangles, which I notice when I'm refreshing for a couple of days when I don't co-wash, does this mean you need to detangle when you're applying water/spritz when you refresh?

Hey Lynnie! No I will not wear the wash n go all week. I actually washed it out last night (lol). My hair shrinks a lot also and I prefer stretched hairstyles to prevent tangling. I tried them again this weekend since the weather is warmer but I never wear them more than two days in a row (scared I will get too many knots and tangles). But I probably won't be doing this again for awhile.

Hey Dva,
You don't have to detangle when you spritz on the days that you don't co-wash. This may cause your hair to frizz up more. What you can try is adding oil rinses to your routine on the days that you do co-wash. The oil rinses can help with tangles.
