Hey girl! Stopped by to ogle at your twists. I still have some envy. No matter how fat I make my twists, they become more like skinny spirals when I take them apart so I am going to accept I have slinky like curls and move on! But I'll still be peeping in your window!

As for adding indigo to other ayurvedic powders, I don't think it is good. ButterQueen AKA Shakira, owner of B-N-B, has an ayurvedic thread. I would ask her. I know you should use indigo only after using henna. We don't want you with blue hair lady.

Thanks for the info. I was reading that indigo made the hair darker but i definitely don't want blue hair(lol). I will check out that thread.

After my twistout earlier this week I redid my hair and did a braidout mid-week. So this weekend I decided to try a big fluffy braidout. When I want my braidouts really defined I use a butter type of product. But to get a fluffy chunky look I use something water based. You can use conditioner, hairmilk, etc. I went old school and pulled out my Carefree Curl moisturizer (don't laugh). My hair was stretched from wearing a braidout for the past couple of days and I added the moisturizer, worked it through my hair and plaited it up Friday night.

Here are some pics from yesterday. It started out nice and fluffy:







But after being in the heat and humidity by that evening I had a nice full fro (but I loved it)!

I love the fluffy fro and yellow is a good color on you.

Thanks girl! Yellow is becoming one of my favorite colors. My weekend was good but it went by too fast.

So today is my 9 month anniversary of being natural It's only three more months until I am celebrating my one year anniversary. I am excited since I've made it this far because I didn't know what the heck I was doing when I first started on this hair journey.

With temperatures rising and summer approaching I can tell that I will need to adjust how I do my hair and the type of products I use. I have really started to pay attention to the ingredients that my hair likes and I have noticed that some of the products I really love contain some type of Aloe in the first five ingredients. So I will be experimenting with more Aloe based products. I made a Shealoe mixture this weekend (my first time) and tried it on a section of my hair and I like it so far.

So this summer I think I will be using more water/aloe based moisturizers and hair milks and use the butters in the winter when I really need the heavier products. I will use a little butter on the ends of my hair because it does help with detangling when I'm styling. I also ordered a sample kit of the Blended Beauty products since most of them are aloe based. I think this PJ in me is dying down a little since I know what my hair likes and most of my future purchases will be repurchases of my fave products.

I will have to check UFD products for the first 5 ingredients as well. My hair loves everything I've tried from them.
