Krazy Coils,

I was just talking about trying a WNG earlier.......yours looks really good. My hair is also friends with Mrs. Shrinkage and she brings her friend Even More Shrinkage along with her, LOL When I try it out hopefully mine will look as good as yours.

The UFD results look great! But I feel you on the wash and go. Too many
tangles. I've been experimenting with them since it's summer. But definitely am not leaving them in my hair too long... or else

Thank you! I know you cannot get away from shrinkage, she's everywhere (lol). Let me know how yours goes.

I really liked the UFD since it didn't leave my hair crunchy like most gels. I wanted to try something different this weekend with the wng but I definitely can't do them everyday like some people are able to.

i loved the wng, that extra volume on top of ur head is what im always goin for but it somehow falls FLAT

Krazy Coils-I am catching up on your hair journey. Your hair is thick and gorgeous. I loved the fluffy fro, and the wng was very cute even after SHRINKAGE showed up.

Thanks Nubie, the volume on the top is like that at first but gets shorter with shrinkage as my hair dries

Gotta love that ole friend, Shrinkage! I agree with you about the ecocustard. It really didn't work for me either. Eco by itself works so much better for my hair. I did say I'd give it another go and make a new batch of ecocustard. I think I'll do a WnG next wash day and see.

Hey KC- I thought your wng was cute. It was super huge, and didn't seem to show much shrinkage. When I do mine- my hair looks almost like it did a year ago although it's much longer! I like doing them but I prefer my twist outs too!

Thanks girl! I can use Eco by itself also but it didn't work for me when I added the other oils.

Thank you PS! Believe me I prefer braidout and twistouts to the wash n go but I wanted to switch it up a little.

Ah yes, Shrinkage and Tangles. I'm totally acquainted with BOTH (when my hair was bigger). My hair just doesn't like to be braided/twisted/protective styled AT ALL. Except for the yarn braids, twist outs and braid outs are FAIL OUTS. Well, hopefully things will be different this year.

KC-I had the same experience with the eco-custard. I was like am I using it wrong, because it seems to work for everybody else.

Anyways, I would love to try a wng but my hair shrinks into a TWA. lol

I was thinking the same thing. I guess some things don't work for everyone. I don't think I will be doing too many wng's due to the shrinkage


Happy Friday Curlies!!!

This week has pretty much been a laid back hair week for me. I washed my hair on sunday and did a braidout and then co-washed again on Wednesday to keep my hair from feeling dry. Then I plaited my hair up again and did another braidout. I didn't take any pictures this week but I will make up for that over the weekend

Which brings me to the thought that I'm getting bored with the braidout (lol). I am ready to experiment and add more styles to the rotation. My list of styles to try are:

A twisted updo
Bantu Knot Out
Coils
Braid n curl

Sunday is my wash day so I will attempt to do some type of updo for the upcoming week and I will experiment with Bantu Knots the following week. I've always wanted to try coils and will try to spice up the braids by adding curls to them. Have a great weekend!
