Well....
I'm sure you can see the growth. What product are your using to do your coils? That could be the key.....
I will tell you like everyone keeps telling me...keep trying it really is process and you will get it eventually.

Re: finger coils then and now......
Thanks Sweetdrk1! @KinkyNappyHappy,on the last pic of used coconut oil and aloe vera gel and my spray bottle mixture.
Re: finger coils then and now......
Hey Tiffy2, I can definitely see some growth and improvement in your pics. When I finger coil, I use conditioner and ORS Twist and Lock Gel. It works a lot better than my oil, gel, and Shae butter

Now you know I haven't LOL. I am so terrible at taking routine pics. I'll take some tonight and post them up.

I look forward to seeing them ma'am [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Re: finger coils then and now......
I don't know what my own hair type is but aloe gel doesn't seem to work well for me when I do my finger coils- so I used ecostyler gel, kinky curly and a product created by my hairdresser. Maybe you could try a different type of gel?
Re: finger coils then and now......
Tiff, I currently have my hair in Coils and I posted my results then and now. Check out my hair journal.

Sweetdrk- you've had some wonderful growth! Your coils are so pretty and defined!
Re: finger coils then and now......
@poeticlyspkng I don't know what my hair type is either.I think I'm a 3c,my curls are different sized cork screw.but I'm soo scared of putting gel in my hair. it might make my hair hard and flaky. @sweetdrk1,your finger coils are beautiful. your hair is growing like crazy! don't you take biotin and msm?

No I don't take any supplements at this point.
Re: finger coils then and now......
tiffy, im actually gonna coil my hair tonight w/avocado butter (thanx to safi haircare) but im experimenting w/different butters n etc. I also coiled w/afroveda's almond butter and it left it VERY moisturized, also qhemet bio's olive n honey balm gave it more shine but i also love their honeybush tea gel. its not thick n sticky, doesnt flake and doesnt dry crunchy. dont be scared of gels, i also like IC Fantasia gel and koils by nature's lavendar n eucalyptus. i've yet to try my ecostyler (thanx to neethair) yet!!
i think the main thing is start w/ur leave in condish. so give gels a try, they maintain the hold, however im using the butter tonight cuz im not really press for hold just moisture!
dont w/afroveda butter

@sweetdrk1,oh ok! and @NubieNatty,I keep hearing a lot of good things about IC gel.but the closes thing I've gotten to a gel is aloe vera.I can't use butters on my hair at all cause it's too heavy for my hair,so I use a lot of oils.
Re: finger coils then and now......

WOW @Sweetdrk1! your finger coils are so full. it's like you got it done at a salon. I can't wait until mine get that full.
Re: finger coils then and now......
the afroveda butter isnt heavy, its lightly whipped. aloe vera is a good gel too. u may wanna try to mix w/a light butter for hold n moisture w/some sheen.
umm sweet, u did ur coils urself? i thought u got em done at a salon too, lol. woooow, how long does it take you to do them?

Yes I did then myself...it took me about an hour to do the coils. I don't part I just grab and twirl. I only had the flexirods done at the salon. I still have to try the curl formers,
Re: finger coils then and now......
I just grab and twirl too LOL! I wanna do other styles in my hair though, like a twist out or something. but I think my hair might still be too short! BTW,I got my Oyin Handmade sample kit in the mail today. I have the shine and define in my hair right now. it smells tropical.
