I transitioned for 2.5 months and couldn't take it anymore!!! So happy I did it!!! I will never go back to the creamy crack!!! Now I'm trying to get my mom off it lol

I B/C'd March 20! Here are before and after pics! Here I am with the usual - scrapped back into a bun with a thin headband. This is in January of 2009. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I decided to transition about 2 days after my last relaxer. I wore it straight for a few months then as soon as I had a decent amount of new growth I spent almost all of my time trying to make my relaxed hair look natural. In November I had the first chunk of hair cut off. This is my hair straightened at new years 2010: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.].
My sad attempt at a twist and curl! (I have a lot of whirlys at least!) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

In Feb. I went back to my hairdresser. He looked at me like I was crazy. Nice cut though. I think everyone thought I would stop there. I lasted 30 days. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Last week I was DONE. He cut off the nasty's (me and the relaxer did not get along in the end) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.][/url]
(straightened for the cut).

And finally, my first wash and go! I think it's so different for me. what do you think? I have curls!!!! I am frowning because I can't believe it!!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

@swoodard - i think you look fabulous! wow, you have great curl definition. i love all of your different facial expressions - too cute.
