ChrsLvsBks wrote:HauteLook - Rock and Republic Beauty eyeshadows are $8.40, 70% off. I picked up a few more. I also got another small shader brush. Shipping for my entire order was $5.95, great deal!!!!
I got a few of the eyeshadows. I keep hearing about how good they are and Tina on the fancyface blog is always talking about them. The blushes were sold out but I heard they are really pigmented.

I spent way too much money at MAC but I truly enjoyed myself!
Here is my purchase:
Brushes:
130
263
Wonder Woman eyebrush set which includes (224se, 109se, 213se)
Makeup:
Studio Finish concealer ( love it, she worked my brows and I fell in love)
Studio Finish Fluid Foundation (omg this goes on so smooth and looks flawless.... )
Select Moisturecover (this is like a moisturizing concealer)
Studio Careblend Pressed powder (didn't need it but my face was lovely..had to get it! hahahahah)
Eyeshadows
Indianwood Paintpot
A custom Quad with the colors I have on in the pics above....the only name I remember is Carbon, and Embark...I forget the other two but me likey (embark I had already so no need to purchase)
lips
Viva Glam V with Chestnut liner (I had the liner already).
The only thing that is on my face that I didn't purchase was the blush...and I have soem in the kit I purchased from NYX so I am good for a while!

@ Brandi - I forgot to respond to your earlier post. I use the L'oreal True Match powder and I really like it. Haven't tried sephora's.
@Sweet - Looking good and you got some good stuff! I love Indianwood paintpot, its so pretty. Is the Viva Glam V the new Lady Gaga lipstick?

Lookin' good Sweet!! Well, I still have not found a blush. The lady at the Bobby Brown counter was telling me that even if you dont put on a full face of make up, you should always put on a blush. She said it brightens your face and gives you a "fresh" look. Since summer is on its way and it gets hot as hell here in Huntsville I wanted to try and wear as little foundation as possible but I still need something to give me that matte look. I have the Mary Kay mattifier but I have to re-apply so many times through the day. I will still be using my concealer but less foundation and powder. So..... does anybody use tinted moisturizer? If so, what brand?

I used Stila's Sheer Color Tinted Moisturizer last summer, I really liked it. I also have ELF's but I never used it so I'm not sure how it performs.

@brandii...I got it on sale on Hautelook last summer for $20 but its here on their website for $34. It's expensive but it's a pretty good product. I'd look around Amazon or Ebay to find it for a cheaper price just in case you end up not liking it...

Of course I don't have a camera today but I have gotten so many compliments on my eyes today! I did a great job recreating the look Farah from MAC created!
Re: Makeup - Have You Checked for e.l.f. in Your Target?
@sweet amazing!! u are looking GOOD!! im just loving ur everything! great job.
@brandi; whaaaaat ur gonna grow it back out? i was thinkin of growing mine back out too but i doubt i let it get long how i had it. i like how sweets length is but knowing her shrinkage, its probably touchin the back of her neck stretched
so wit the warmer months comin along, i figure i wanna keep it simple as possible so im gonna look for a tinted moisturizer and bronzer! sometimes i gotta stay away from yall cuz i'd mess around n be living out of my car wit my face BEAT
loving the tips on using the NYX pencils as a base to eyeshadow...great idea and i understand @knh wit using the gray one for that silver slate kinda color.

Nubie- Girl what you say!!!!! I had to set an allowance so that I could get all the makeup I need before the summer. I could open up a bbs with what I have here at the house!! I just need blush, tinted moisturizer, bronzer, and a primer and thats it for me for a while. But yeah I am gonna let my hair grow just to see how it does.

Looking good Sweet! You're also packing the color on a little more which makes the shadow more noticeable.

Lol, I'm still a little gun-shy but that paint pot makes such a difference! I plan to go get more! I have a rewards card from Macy's that needs to be spent! Sweet, you are doing it Ms. Lady!!!! Love the look Farah created! You were definitely able to recreate it.
Re: Makeup - Have You Checked for e.l.f. in Your Target?
I used Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer last summer. I it. If my dark spots fade by the summer, I will definitely repurchase. I am not sure of the range of colors. I used walnut and mocha.brandiitneka wrote:Lookin' good Sweet!! Well, I still have not found a blush. Just to let yall ladies know, Walmart has Black Radiance packages for 4.95. They have a blush and brush set. The eyeshadow quads with a mascara and a lip gloss set of three. I didnt get anything tonight but yall know I will be back in there tomorrow!! I watched a youtube video on how to make your own tinted moisturizer, so yall know I had to whip me some up. I will let yall know how it does tomorrow.

Re: Makeup - Have You Checked for e.l.f. in Your Target?
LOL!! I made a mistake this morning but I like it!! A LOT! I have to get my timing together so I can do my makeup before I leave and not at my desk So I did the eyes and figured I could do my lips in route. Well I am driving and diggin in my purse to grab what felt like a lipgloss tube. Unscrewed it with one hand and began to apply. As soon as it hit my lips I knew something was wrong. I was like what did I put on my lips! I looked in the mirror; IT WAS CONCEALER!! and was like awww shucks now!
