Allergic Reaction to Makeup Empty Allergic Reaction to Makeup

Has anyone experienced dry skin and redness from using eye makeup? I think it is the primer I have been using but not sure. The skin on my eyelid and under my eyes is dry, wrinkled and irritated. I aged 10 years+ in less than two days [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] . Any idea how to plump that area back up?

Also, what do you use to remove eye makeup?

I like to use oil on a cotton ball to remove eye makeup. Of course I wash my face immediately after. I have even used Vaseline. I notice when I do it this way I experience less irritation and dryness.

Thanks tia, what type of oil do you use? I was using castor oil then I used my OCM mix a couple of times. I may try my unpetroleum jelly also. I am hoping the dryness and irritation goes away in the very near future. I look horrible [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] .

I was using cocoa butter oil, the Dr Palmers brand. I would not wash or try to remove the make before wiping it off first with some oil. My skin used to feel like it was burning.

Chrs. Like you I have used my OCM mix (castor oil and olive oil) to take off makeup and I liked that. I have also used makeup remover wipes or those daily facial wipes by Oil of Olay, but lately I have just been using this Shea Moisture Black Soap and haven't had any problems. Good luck! We don't want you looking all crazy in the pursuit of fabness.
