wow. i just realized its been so long since i visited your page....your flat twists are really good! did you teach yourself? i am trying right now, but can never get past the 1st row or soooo....
Thanks, yea I taught myself when I was in middle school. It was my way of covering up my new growth. LOL. I just try not to do the sections real big, that way I can catch more hair.

Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
Ladies...today was NOT a good hair day
I took out my flat twists and they were soo dryyyy. My hair was NOT curly, just a poofy mess. I tried to fix it by wetting my hair and quickly shingling...didn't work. So I rinsed out as much gel as I could, moisturized, and just did the coil style like in my avatar. Since, I didn't have a lot of time my hair wasn't on point today. It didn't look bad, but I soo wanted it to look like my twist out from last week.
Sigh...I'll have to work with this until Wednesday night when I can start over. I have finals this week so I have no time.
Hurry up Wednesday...

I was just thinking about trying flat twist tomorrow but now I am scared . What products did you use to do them? I think I am still gonna give it a try.

Lol, I used the same products I normally use. I guess these just don't work in my hair.

Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
I've been unable to access the internet for 3 days, AHHH!!!!!! I was going crazy, I can't go a day without see some natural inspiration. Anyway I washed my hair of the mess I made with those flat twist. I two strand twisted my hair Wednesday night and untwisted this morning (well for those on the east coast yesterday morning). I may put up pics later maybe not, it's not that much different. This cold weather is something else though...my curls are shivering.

Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
OK guys here they are. This twist out came out a little frizzy, probably because I didn't leave my twists in for 3 days like I did with the first ones. These I left in for one day before untwisting. I used a lot of shea butter this time during my twisting. The next day I moisturized my twist with a heavy amount of shea butter again. Now that they're out my hair is very soft and the definition throughout (not everywhere) my hair is wonderful.
Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
Looking good! Have you tried mixing shea with aloe and/or coconut oil? The set may occur faster because of the aloe vera gel.
Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
I like the results of your twist out. I mixed aloe vera gel with my shea butter mix for my finger coils. I havent tried the mix on my two strand twist yet.

I'm kind of scared to put aloe vera gel in my hair again. I tried it when I was transitioning and my hair was dry and very hard. oooop2 suggested I add something with it, since I only used it by itself. I may venture out into again one day.

Thanks, I think I liked the first one better.
Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
I did a winter wash n go today. Only because I didn't have enough time to do my hair. By the end of the day my hair was a little dry, nothing major. However, I would like to figure out, for the summer time, how a 4a/4b keeps their hair moisturized with a wash n go.
Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
It's been 2 months since my bc (it was actually yesterday, but whatever) and I am happy with the progress I've made. My hair has gone from very dry, brittle, and undefined to most of the time moisturized, soft, and curl poppin goodness. I'm still stumped as to what other style options I have. I spent a few hours last night doing a very sloppy two strand twist. I was so tired, I mean, I just have too much head LOL. I no I'm limited with what I can do but jeez I need to see something.
Anyway on to more HHG!
