I would have used a goody headband, but I remembered they give me headaches. So I took a knee high and wrapped it around my forehead. I slowly pushed it back while holding the two ends and when I got it to where I wanted I knotted it and cut off the ends. I couldn't get in there to tuck them so I just cut it.

I used bobby pins to hold the ends. I pinned the ends of the knee hi into the puff. Hope that makes sense.

Hey Eden,
did you put your braids back in or did you change your mind?

Not yet, but I'm going to. I think I won't be able to start until tomorrow. I have an unexpected final to finish today. I'm planning on it though.
Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
I'm getting off to a late start with my yarn braids But I have some great progress news...at least to me LOL. Usually when I wash my hair I'd plop and the add some oils and moisturize. As my hair air dries (i'd be twisting my hair in the process) it would be dry (not major) even though I moisturized.
So since I'm putting in braids i figured I'd do a treatment of some kind since I'm experiencing a lot of shedding and minor breakage (yes ). I researched a few products and got Aphogee Keratin 2 min Reconstuctor (the one in the pack). I washed, did the treatment for 15min heated, dc'd and moisturized as usual.
That treatment is OFF DA CHAIN cuz my hair is soft and moisturized like how it feels when I do a twist out . The shedding and breakage has subsided and I am SO happy.

I'm really happy about that.
Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
I finished my yarn braids about 15 mins ago and I'm beat. I did them bigger this time and I did fewer braids. Last time I used two rolls this time I only used one, so that's a big difference. I'm keeping these in for 6 weeks, I'll take pics later I'm exhausted.
Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
How long did it take you to do them? I cant wait to see the pics.

Oh yea I forgot to say. I started late Thursday (9pm) and only got the very back done, so I won't really count that as a day. So I basically worked from Friday to Sunday, 3 days compared to 7 last time.

Can't wait to see the yarn braids. I've been thinking about doing the kinky twist on my nieces who are transitioning. This my be another option.

Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
Took me a while, still having internet issues here are my braids. I was playing in it and did a replica of Chisellecouture's Janelle Monae style. Like I said before I used a lot less yarn then last time. Honestly, I'm not really feeling it. I know they're done and they look good, but I don't like the fullness. I wish I used the same amount of yarn as last time. I hate scalpy braid/twist styles (on me) and this is what it looks like. I'm contemplating taking them out and doing something else. I really like yarn braids, but I don't like this outcome.
Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
Cute style and earring!! Dont take them out yet. Make em work. I hate to see all your hard work go down the drain.
