Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
I braided my hair to prep for my next protective style: Spring Twist Crochet Braids. I got the idea from Kellum, and I watched Toysvoice's tutorial.
Hair used was E-ON Spring Twist, I used 2 packs but would of liked 3 (big head). I bought a color 1, but should of gotten 2 to match my hair color. The hair is very light and full.
I did straight back cornrows, and installed the hair using the regular crochet braid technique. After I secured the hair with a knot. I two strand twisted it and clipped the scraggly ends. I plan to take these out after 4 weeks (I promise )

I was only going to use a little of the 3rd pack for the front, just so the parts won't show so much but I'm good. YESSSSSS I'm keeping these in for 4 weeks LOL.
Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
They look really good. I love that it looks like your natural hair!
SN: I am gonna borrow a mannequin head from my godsister so I can learn to cornrow (dont want to pull my hair out).

Yes, this is definitely my hair goal. I'm sure you'll learn in no time!
Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
Those look great! I want that so bad but I am afraid to try it on my own. I wish I had you here to do them for me

You afraid?! But you experiment with your hair all the time. It's not that scary, the hardest part for me was the cornrows. If I'm ever in Raleigh I'll definitely hook you up.

I may get up the nerve one day. My hubby hates weaves with a passion so I would have to convince him to get over himself so I could try it out.
Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
So it's been about a week since I installed my crochet braids, and I have learned a valuable lesson. LEARN HOW TO CORNROW BETTER. I was afraid to braid my edges too tight, so over the course of the week my twists have been sliding back. I considered redoing it, but I changed my mind. I'll just rock it until I take it out, you can't see it anyway unless the wind is blowing hard. I think I might cowash and reuse this hair again the week after I take it out. It'll hold me over until my quarter is over. Later!
Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
Today my PJ bit me, and I bought stuff that I really didn't need. Oh, well . I want to take out my crochet braids, thorougly wash my hair, and do them over. I said I wouldn't, but I think I'm just making an excuse to see my hair. Anyhoo, I bought Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner, I've heard some good things and I'm going to cowash with this today. I also bought a Scunci Microfiber Towel, I need a specific thing for my hair, because these tshirts are building up in the bathroom. Oh an after reading a few posts and videos on Black Tea Rinses for shedding, I'm going to do that today as well. Here's what I meant by me not braiding secure in the front.
One side is worse than the other.
Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
I am starting to see a reddish tint in the light on my hair....I wonder if it is the tea rinses.
On the other hand I did notice a decrease in my shed hairs after one week. I am now on week two and will do my third rinse this weekend

Re: .:Eden:. Curly Q Twist Out
Such talent. I don't have much braiding skills yet.
