its more of an afro pulled back with a stocking headband ... I wouldn't call it a puff yet cuz the back cant be pulled up just yet.

@ Lynn & Sweetdrk: I need to thank you guys because while i was chopping my hair off my GF went on the site and was looking through both of your butter n bars thread to see what I told her I think my hair may sorta become like and to "cope, get ideals to help and understand". I told her to look at the date of the threads and she was like.... "oh, your hair is going to grow fast!" and "oh okay their hair is cute..." or "I like that style.. can you do that style now???" LOL...

Thanks for showing her that there is method to our madness and there is a end to my means of chopping my hair... (did i say that quote right???)

Tell her I said thank you. The only reason I post here is to hopefully inspire someone else. It's my way of giving back. So many curlies here have also inspired me. So which style are you gonna try first?

I think the first will be a twist out! i've always loved how those came out on everyone's hair and everytime i tried it with my transitioning hair the ends were so dull and flat and STRAIGHT! im soo curious to see what it will look like on all natural hair! LOL.

I am starting to get use to it or looking at myself with no hair or natural hair. I put a mirror on my desk today so i can stare at my hair (LOL..SMH) and get a feel for it. I do love how my lil curlies are coming in.. they are soo small!! LOL.

I love it.... lol. but just getting use to seeing myself.

I do feel like my hair feels a little dry or rough.. its soft but it feels dry. i put my hands in my hair and they come out shiny like i have oil in it so i don't know if thats what it is suppose to feel like or its dry... I do remember seeing alot of new BC women saying that it takes a couple of days for your hair to start to work out and come together so im cowashing it at least every other day since Saturday (like its been forever or something LOL) and will see how it comes out.

What conditioner are you using to co wash with?

usually hello hydration... sometimes giovanni 50:50 if i was detangling.....

but saturday I used giovani 50:50 to do the BC and then sunday i 1st used giovanni 50:50 and let it sit on my hair with some olive oil while i washed then i used totally twisted right before i got outof the shower..... today I woke up and sprayed with a mixture of water, infusium 23, olive oil and pepperment oil.

You sound like you have it all together....I can't wait for you to uncover all the wonders of natural hair!!

Tank you guys! im actually excited to do my hair tonight... i think i might sit and take the time to do the twists tonight... maybe... if im not too tired. LOL

Well... I ended up making dinner last night sooo now twists tonight... BUT i made a deal with the better half.... She wants to sit at home on sunday and watch Dannika Patrick on Nazkar all day... I told her thats great... i'll make a homemade lasagna and i will sit and watch it with her... AS I TWIST MY HAIR UP! LOL (Compromise is the key....lol)

But I did wash my hair last night and OMG!!!! I felt my curlies as soon as i put it under the water! I was so estatic... LOL..

I cowashed with HEHH and then a moisturizing treatment with Megasilk olive oil moisturizing treatment conditioner. Mixed that with some tea tree oil and avocado oil (i really don't even know what avacado oil does.. need to look that up) and let it sit for the remainder of my shower.... MAN i felt my curlies that I had to get out the shower and look in the mirror for a few min. even yelled to GF to come and look at them. LOL

Here is the pic of my hair right out of the shower WITH NO PRODUCT...




after the shower i put a creamy leave in conditioner fruitist (i think thats the name) with some olive oil and then covered my hair with a silk scarf and my bonnet......

The next morning.... i spritz to wake up the flat fro with my leave in conditioner spritz:: infusium 23, water, olive oil & peppermint oil mixed together. THen some ecostyler to define the curls (I need to get some kind of curl defining stuff like kinky Kurly....) here are the results

I must say..... I AM IN LOVE WITH MY HAIR..... so happy that 1. i've finally came to terms and 2. I did the BC. all i can do is go up...

Now its time to work on this body of mine.... no more Chris's meat market taco stand tacos!!!!

Peanut, Do you really live in fresno? OMG I GREW UP THERE. how amazing i rarely meet people that say they are from fresno. You just made my day and make me wanna go back and visit.
