CAN I DO IT ? grow long hair again, less time ????

I , like most of you ladies started out with virgin long hair as a child. Didn't even realize what I had at that age, 6. I have never grown my hair back to this length, [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]after cutting, perming etc, I am wondering can I do it ?? BSL ??? !!! HUH ? Whatcha think ?? Am I crazy ?

That's AMAZING growth for 9 months....You are well on your way to BSL!!!

Thanks!! By the time you reach your one yr mark, you will be at my length or longer.

I am getting impatient now too. At first I didnt care about length but the closer I get to my goal (APL), the more anxious I get.

Your hair seems to grow very fast, so I guess you should reach your goal in no time!
Unlike you, I've never had my hair past neck length so it's a challenge for me to see if I will ever be able to grow my hair at least to BSL.
And since you've reached that length before, you should also be able to achieve it again!

Hey ladies
Im transitioning, any tips or tricks or product recommends that you feel have helped support/encourage your growth?
I dont have too much breakage, but my hair is porous and dry and sucks moisture from anywhere - good old humidity -NOT!! ;-)
But any tips would be fab, I have regular trims, approx every 8wks, and since finding this site, im on a mission to learn how to protect & respect my hair!
So im finding products (tougher here in UK as dont have a lot of what you guys recommend!)
BUt still, any suggestions, please throw them at me.
My hair has grown.

And I have done some biggish trims, 2'' here and there at a time . . but want to get permed ends off, im about half way i think?

Kez, Your hair is beautiful ! i have the same problem with porous dry hair. Although we have different textures. what is an alkaline perm ??

Alkaline is aperm lotion used to give hair curl once and is roller set and is permanent, often here acid perms are used, so alkaline is gentler. It's a watery lotion, and I basically run it through my hair gently pulling curl out....it gets straight almost but keeps all thickness .... And frizz!! Xx
