BindyMac's Hair Empty BindyMac's Hair

Post by BindyMac08 13th November 2009, 12:47 am

Aww...I'm kind of sad that I have to start all over.

So today is my third (?) day of wearing my hair in twists. I do not like it. I don't know why I keep going back to twists when I've done this all before, but sometimes it's nice not to do anything to your hair.

Anyway, the reason I don't like it is because it's getting messy. I sleep with a cap and I moisturize my hair in the morning and then I put coconut oil on it (if I use shea, you'll find clumps of it in my hair - gross!). I'm sure there's something else I can do, but I haven't really invested the time to find out what else I can do.

Really, it's not my favorite style, so I'm looking forward to taking them out.

But I will still try to keep my hair in until Sunday, at the very least!

I get you! I don't like twists either, except they look pretty nice on longer hair Sad. My twists pretty much puff up and stick out lol. Thanks for commenting on my thread! I can't wait to see your other styles.

My hair and I are doing well. One good thing about the twists is that my hair always feels really silky and soft, even to the ends. Having my ends moisturized is always a problem for me.

I can't wait until I have long hair - then my twists will really look good!

Have a good Friday!

I love the twists.

curly kinky fierce n dlish

I have found my twists turn out better when I twist an old wash n go it looks better than a wet or plain dry twist. To control puffiness uses something heavy and moisturizing (I use Oyin Shine n define and Whipped pudding) and make them really thin cuz they will puff after you twist. Plus practice makes perfect. It's mostly trial and error until you find out to get the result you want.

Yeah, I noticed that the big twists I made are the puffy ones...heh. I got lazy towards the end and didn't do a great job.

Thanks for the tips! When I do twists again I'll try them out. And I have got to get me some Oyin Whipped Pudding - I keep hearing great things about it, and I've tried one of their products and loved it.

I failed.

I took out my twists on Saturday. I didn't want to wait. My twists were so bad that I didn't even wear my twist out - I washed my hair and let it air dry.

So I'm not doing anything too exciting with my hair today - just wearing a black headband. I think next week I'll attempt to do cornrows for the first time ever!

You know I hate wearing twists on my hair too!! Usually I try to style them...I posted this on someone else's thread but you can always try to pin up the sides, do some large rolls or experiment...if u dont like what u come up with u still have the twists. Once I twisted my hair and then pinned it all to one side...I got lots of compliments...I say experiment next time when you get tired/bored.

Thanks for the tip! I think I'll try that out later. I'm kind of lazy with my hair now and I don't have the motivation to do another twist out soon.

I'm afraid I don't have anything very interesting to say today. I may upload some photos of my hair later tonight. I feel like it's grown. And yet, I've only had my twists in for less than a week. But when I took them out, it looked as if my hair was longer.

No headband on my hair today. I'm living on the edge. BindyMac's Hair Icon_biggrin

LOL I had gotten to a point where I felt edgy without my headband too. If your having issues with your two strand twists why not try a flat twists out? Do you know how to do flat twists?

I feel so bad, I haven't been checking in on the community as obsessively as I used to, but I'm having a busy week. Can't wait for Thanksgiving break!

Nothing new on my hair. Though I must say, I love how it starts out small in the morning and doubles in size by the end of the day.

I'm sad though, I ran out of shea butter! I don't think I can't get some until next week. Till then, I'll be using my coconut oil which will probably never run out. But I prefer the shea butter.

My hair and I are doing fine, although it was pretty dry by nighttime - I need my shea butter pronto! Serenity, you're hair is goregous! Did you use henna to get that color?

Another thing I've noticed about my hair - the top of my head has very loose curls, almost straight. Before I would twist my hair right after a shower, and as it dried I'd take them out to have some more definition, but I wonder if there's other things I could do to it.

BindyMac's Hair Empty Bad Day Just Turned Good!

Post by BindyMac08 23rd November 2009, 9:56 pm

I thought my hair was pretty hideous today. Kind of dry and frizzy. I might need to update my routine. And get shea butter real quick.

But then this girl came up to me and said she loved my hair and asked if she could touch it! That just made my day! People are awesome!

When I get some new products (hopefully by this weekend) I think I'll attempt a review.

Sup yo! Quick post 'cuz I got to go!

My poor hair wants some moisture today. I've been so lazy with it that I haven't put all of my energy into perfecting a regimen. But I gave it the last bits of shea butter in the container! Stick with me hair!

Oh I'm so boring.
I know I've got you snoring.
But today's a busy day
And I only got a few minutes to say
My hair is nice and big
It might be mistaken for a wig
It's also a bit dry
I really don't know why
Today ain't the best hair day ever
But I'm still gonna love my hair forever

Woo! It's Wednesday, and I get the next two days off!

That poem...I know, it's not the best. I wrote it in like five seconds!

I've been so lazy with my hair for the past couple of days it seems. I don't know, I just don't want to put the time into caring for it, even though I know it'll be better for me in the long run.

BindyMac's Hair Img00010

Haha, kind of lopsided. What is up my hair though - I have two textures going on! I have real tight curls in the back but on top my hair's almost straight! I have noticed that as its grown, it's gotten a bit curlier, but you can definitely see the difference. Kind of annoying. I think I'm going to braid it or something this weekend.
