This is my version of a curly fro. It was time to low poo. I mixed 2 parts water to 1 part Dr. Bronner Pure Castille Peppermint Soap. My hair was pretty squeaky, so I conditioned with HEHH, deep conditioned with Aussie 3 minute, then I mixed up Kimmay's receipe and used that as a leave in. I twisted my hair into about 16-18 twist and set on satin covered sponge rollers. I let it air dry and took it down the next moring and fluffed. The leave in made my hair super shiney and soft.
That fro!!! gimme....right now

HNY wishing you the best the new year has to offer! That hair is looking fab as usual!
Re: Hurricane Curly
Hey Hurricane Curly! I haven't stopped by your place in a while. I see you have been busy. I'm loving your hair blown out, looks really great. Lol at the coworkers who didn't recognize you. That twistout late Oct/early Nov was fabulous too. You were just doing all kinds of things. And BRAVO for your daughter. How impressive that she's stuck to her transition. Totally awesome! Her hair looks good too; great job with her twists...it's really cute on her.
I am thinking about a steamer too. I noticed that my hair is extra dry with the color and need all the extra moisture and treatment options I can get. Good luck with all the work with your doctorate. I know that is no easy feat.

Happy New Year lady!
You look great with straight hair also. How much was trimmed? It looks healthy, shiny and bouncy. LOL @ folks not recognizing you.

@Swtdk1 How’s it going? Happy New Year to you too! Love your avi of you and your daughter
@DVA Glad to see you. I still love my steamer. I just used it a little more than a week ago with Yes to Carrots and STELLA turned out super soft and I sealed with shea butter …..my scalp is loving the shea. And… my daughter has fully transitioned now. I took her to Essentials last week and gave the stylist a fit because I kept telling her how much not to trim off LOL and her hair turned out great. A year and 3 months later and she is fully natural.
@ Nubie I was happy with the results but after a couple of days it got boring looking like everyone else. Nope didn’t even try to do it my self because I just didn’t have enough time. I went to a Dominican shop. I tried going to a regular salon no luck. I think they thought it was going to be to much work to get it straight. STELLA looks a lot thicker than she actually is. I was a little nervous because of possible heat damage but I kept talking to the stylist and she really listened about turning down the heat settings on the blow dryer and flat iron.
@ ChrsLvsBks love the avi. Your hair look gorgeous. The stylist didn’t trim that much off probably an inch to inch and ¾. I thought about you yesterday, I had to go to Patient first because of this crazy cough that I have (that’s not what reminded me) it was the registration attendant… she had the best eye make-up on. It turns out she is a make up artist… I was like (to my self) ChrLvsBks can do that.
@Intelligentbeauty Thanks for the compliment...by the way I love your name... can't wait to see you on Dr. OZ

Hey Lady!!
Glad to see you posting again. First let me say...that I love your straight hair!!! You do look like a different person, but I love your curls as well!!! Don't you just love natural hair!!!!
In the second picture was that a washNgo or a twist-out?
I still haven't purchased my steamer yet; I borrowed a friends, and I'm trying it out now. The jury is still out!! LOL
Hope you enjoyed your holidays, and hope to see you around more this year!

Hey KNH,
Thanks for stopping by. My holidays were great. I hope yours were the same? Loooovvvveee your Avi!! The second picture was a twist out. I twisted Stella when she was soaking wet using the Kimmaytube leave in and shea butter to seal. Hence the super shrinkage.

@KNH Thanks for checking on me. I've been trying new styles. I'm trying to figure out how to do a modified mohawk I can wear to work and... just when I thought I was over my pjism, I see your post on the tangle teaser. I'm getting one this weekend.

I bet it's a balmy 77 degrees... rag top is down, what are you wearing flip flops or sandals LOL I'm struggling with the cold... Oh well I'll live vicariously through you
