Your two week old twist look great. They are really tiny, you should get some good use out of them

It is. I used the same amount of tea steeped in oil as well. I add these to my mixes or plain oils. Those teas are to aid in stimulating growth.

Thanks Chrs! I like them small it's easier to hide the thin spots. I still have those days but they are becoming further and further apart.

I am great today. Thanks for the "talk" Sweet. I needed a swift kick of reality. I really appreciate it. In the words of my bestie "The Pity Party is over and this after Party is the bomb!!"

Thanks. I would have left them up but when I co washed them I didn't have a good technique so the base was real puffed and they were netting together with the strays and I could feel strands stretching and breaking so I had to rectify that. Hopefully this set lasts better.
Set 2 of Hide Your hair challenge twists
Song of the Day:
Lord prepare me
To be a sanctuary
Pure and Holy
Tried and true
And with thanksgiving
I'll be a living
Sanctuary Lord for you
Lord prepare me
To be a sanctuary
Pure and Holy
Tried and true
And with thanksgiving
I'll be a living
Sanctuary Lord for you
Ok this Eco Styler custard is the bomb. I will definitely use it again. Only thing is it will not aid in keeping me from having to retwist some twists. They are really soft. I retwisted the back left twists yesterday. The hair in the back is really soft and I'm still not used to it.
I like the way it elongates my twists. I am still applying oil (castor oil w/ Lavendar and tea tree EO) almost everyday to my scalp. I use any oil I come across for my twists along with my shea mix#3 to moisturize.
I have more peach fuzz in the top but still have several bald spots too. I have a lot of work to do. I do scalp massages when I remember. I still don't know what to do with the follicular flair ups. I might go back to my old school treatment a lil peroxide and antibiotic cream on the scalp. IDK.
It wasn't as bad when I was cowashing everyday and no twists. I wonder if I shouldn't twist. They are not tight but maybe they don't like the hanging hair. Anywho. Decisions Decisions.

****eyes closed worshipping Him****
I am going to try your castor oil concoction. My scalp is dry again, and my dry scalp/itchy scalp mix is made with aloe vera gel. I refrigerate it because of the gel and don't like spraying my scalp with cold mix.

With my hands lifted up
and my mouth filled with praise
with a heart of thanksgiving
I will bless thee O Lord.
I will bless thee O Lord
I will bless thee O Lord
With a heart of Thanksgiving
I will bless thee O Lord.
@CHRS let me know how that works for you. Castor is thicker so it seems to work better in the winter. In the summer I was using Olive oil.
Nothing new with the twists. the older they are the more I have to step up my moisturizer game. I am also sleeping with a bonnet or scarf every night. I didn't do that last time.
See you ladies later.

I noticed the same thing...I thought I was just imagining things
Re: SheeTacular's Hair Journey - Slide show!
no changes with the twists. i was toying with a style but my twists aren't full enough in the top. I may still post the pics of the fail. I think someone with thicker hair can pull it off.
I am moisturizing my hair 2-3 times a day. I am using mostly natural products to prevent build up.
I applied Triple Anitbiotic cream to my scalp to help the flair ups. Then I applied my castor oil mix and shea butter mix. I used the shea butter mix on my hair as well then sealed with grapeseed oil.
Grapeseed oil is a light oil but since I used heavier oils previously and my hair is moisturized I figured it would do the trick.

@Sweet I am here just stalking everybody from my cellphone.
Sorry I have been out of touch.
I am still wearing the same set of twists I am embarking on week 3. This is unchartered territory so hopefully it works out becuz I really don't have time to take them down and retwist anytime soon. I fell of my "stepping up the moisture" game. So I am working on rectifying that.
Ok I have several rehearsals and singing in engagements with the choirs I sing in along with some Admin work I am doing at church along with other church activities I'm involved in plus working full time, commuting and family etc.
Basically my life will be hectic until May but I will be here lurking in the back ground.
I have officially started my "Use Your Stash" Challenge. My last hair purchase was last week it was the Bee Mine Mango Serum with Sulfur.
I have been wanting to try it to see if it will improve my growth in the top. I figure the best time is while my hair is twisted that way application and pics are easier.
I wanted to join Tia's Castor Oil Challenge but since I'm using a growth aid it really won't tell me if Castor Oil works just as well as the serum. I will decline this challenge but I am excited to see everyone elses results.
Oh I bought a Satin Pillowcase at Sally's. I almost fainted at the price (probably because I didn't purchase the last one) but I did realize that it is a great purchase and good quality case.

Thank IB!! I've loving you Scriptures!!! We gonna end up having some "CHUCH" in here..lol
Ok. I am running through the threads. I am really thinking that 3 weeks is gonna be the limit for this set. I have a lot of strands that have come loose from the twists and are tangling all together. I could retwist some of them to and all that but I figure I might as well put in a new set and keep them for 3 weeks then that challenge will be over.
I am liking the growth serum well enough. It smells good but the sulfur leaves a film on your scalp. I am not sure if I am using too much at once or too often. I might transfer it to a bottle with a smaller tip and see if that helps.
Smooches.

Song of the Day!!
Oh Give Thanks, Unto the Lord,
For He is Good
For He is Good
For He is Good
The Lord is Good
And His mercy endureth forever
And His mercy endureth forever

For Ever
Sing Praise, Sing Praise
O, O, O, Oh give thanks unto our God
Rejoice, Rejoice, Rejoice, Rejoice
O, O, O, Oh give thanks unto our God
Oh Give Thanks, Unto the Lord,
For He is Good
For He is Good
For He is Good
The Lord is Good
And His mercy endureth forever
And His mercy endureth forever
And His mercy endureth forever

Sing Praise, Sing Praise
O, O, O, Oh give thanks unto our God
Rejoice, Rejoice, Rejoice, Rejoice
O, O, O, Oh give thanks unto our God
Re: SheeTacular's Hair Journey - Slide show!
NO SONG TODAY. JUST MEDITATING ON PHILLIPIANS 4:7-9
"AND THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH PASSETH ALL UNDERSTANDING, SHALL KEEP YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS THROUGH CHRIST JESUS.
FINALLY, BRETHREN, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE TRUE, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE HONEST, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE JUST, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE PURE, WHATSOEVER THINGS ARE LOVELY, WHASOEVER THINGS ARE OF GOOD REPORT; IF THER BE ANY VIRTUE, AND IF THER BE ANY PRAISE, THINK ON THESE THINGS.
THOSE THINGS, WHICH YE HAVE BOTH LEARNED, AND RECEIVED, AND HEARD, AND SEEN IN ME, DO: AND THE GOD OF PEACE SHALL BE WITH YOU."
Still have twists in. I am back on the moisturizing wagon. Still going back and forth about where to take them down or leave them in.
I seems as if my hair is growing by leaps and bounds. It may just be because I have so much shrinkage in my fro that it was hard to see the length before. I do know that my hair retention has improved. So I'm wondering If I should wear twists for 2-3 weeks of the month.
It would help a lot if I learn some other protective styles.
ok this is it...TTYL.
