Son bought it home from school!!! School did not notify parents of the outbreak! I was furious!!! Their excuse was the child infected was not in his class!

I tried a natural remedy, EVOO, Tea Tree, & Peppermint Oils...did not seem to work. So went to the doc, got the harsh pesticide! (hated it) Then I flat ironed to burn off the eggs/nits. I saw this girl on YouTube flat ironing her class mates with lice hair as a science experiment and won the science fair. Go figure!
Here's a joke...hubby told me to relax them off!!! I told him I'd rather cut my hair!
Re: CocoEuro Hair Journey!!
How long do you have to use the pesticide? I hope the school closed so that they can clean

When I was researching Head Lice I was googling African American hair and lice, every article said African American's usually don't catch lice! Hellllooooo! Our hair is so under researched!!! I feel a change coming though!! With all the YouTube Videos, blogs, communities, "good hair" movie! Our natural hair is being notice and talked about. We got to get Nikki on Tyra!! Take this mainstream!
I never used "grease" never liked the feeling of it but now I use EVCO and EVOO and my friend told me we caught because I don't use grease! LOL!!! I don't beleive that!!
Re: CocoEuro Hair Journey!!
I agree with you 100% much things about our culture is under researched which why I support the online natural hair communities 199% because I feel we (natural haired women) NEED to get this info out there to our own ppl that have so misconceptions about their own hair. Nikki on Tyra Im all for that!!!

It looks good!!! I was thinking about a rollerset for either Thanksgiving or Christmas but I'm horrible at wrapping my hair and I would have to roll each night. Love the beanie

They seem to be gone but it very easy to have reinfestation when the entire household had it AND two out of three children are in school! So, I'm going to be on the look out for maybe two more weeks!!

Thank you! I haven't wrapped my hair since Monday night! My goodness!!! I've been wearing my tam!!!
Re: CocoEuro Hair Journey!!
I'm going to do my hair tonight!! Undecided on if I should do twists or a braid out...what do you ladies think?
Re: CocoEuro Hair Journey!!
My vote is for a twist out. Why? I have been doing them recently and have loved the results.
Post pictures when you finish.
Enjoy your weekend!

Your hair looks cute flatironed! I bet you miss the curls, though.
I think you should do a twist out and get that fro back!

Re: CocoEuro Hair Journey!!
Alright..so Saturday I...
· Co-washed with Suave Naturals Coconut conditioner, I haven’t used it in awhile, I just realized how thick and moisturizing it is, for a co-wash of course!
· Conditioned with Herbal Essence’s Totally Twisted, first time trying it! Love the smell! But I think Hello Hydration is more moisturizing for me! Rinsed after leaving it in for 15 min.
· Reapplied Totally Twisted, detangled with my Goody, Denman type brush, and twisted hair, had to put perm rods at the top, the top of my hair is so straight!
· I plan on taking the twist out tomorrow (Tuesday), rain is in the forecast so I expect a big fluffy fro by the end of the day!
