Re: TerraD, MM, Life and Brazilian Blowouts!
So my hair is still in a bun. I banded again last night, my hair loves being stretched this way! I don't feel like doing much to it. I'm a little depressed from the whole job thing, so I'm trying to remain prayerful (The enemy will not defeat me, or bring me down!).
I watched Miracle on 34th street last night LOL, it helped. Tonight I will probably figure out what I will do with my hair, for Christmas. Christmas Eve is going to be 100% dinner mode. My first vegan Christmas and I'm cooking lots of old standbys (more info tomorrow).
I'm trying to stay positive about my job situation. I'm about to try and work out my connections, so if anyone knows anyone that is a nurse in SoCal, let me know! LOL Have a great day ladies.
Luv N Kurls....

Today I'm being a bum because I have to be at work so early. I always said that I would be pumped when I can put my hair i a french braid and have hang time, while not straightened...So I redid my bedtime french braid and I'm putting on earrings and calling it a day! Christmas Eve that is!

I'm so excited I made gravy last night and today I'm going to prep everything to pop in the oven. Here's my menu:
Field Roast w/apple stuffing
Garlic Smothered Potatoes
Mac N Cheeze
Green Beans
Sauteed Greens
Candied Yams
Corn
Salad
Wheat Rolls
Gingerbread Cookies!
Apple Cider
As you can see I veganized a bunch of these by using margarine instead of butter and non-dairy cheese! I'm going to be a busy woman this evening. I will post pics for you guys. Have a great day!

Thanks ladies LOL! I am definitely taking pics of the meal (my first vegan Christmas) and my hair (twist n curl...Gasp!) I'm going to try it with d.denise's technique- by making small ponytails and twisting those. We'll see. I wish I could send plates!

Happy Holidays!!!
So I had a great day today! Church was good! Last night I did an oil rinse (courtesy of tiashauntee) and my hair loved it! I mixed coconut oil and olive oil. After I cowashed with Herbal Essence hello hydration (thanks santa
. At first I did not notice a difference, but I left it in while showering and when I touched my hair, my mouth fell open..."Hello Hydration!" need I say more. My hair felt like moist silk, if there is such a thing. I didn't even want to rinse it out. But I also wanted to try my Giovanni Direct Leave-In (thanks again santa).
After rinsing out the hello hydration I sectioned my hair and did two strand twists w/ flexi rods. I also put a ponytail holder at the root of every twist to stretch my roots and hopefully prevent the twist from unraveling. It worked, but I was afraid they would unravel so I rolled the flexi rods half way up each twist.
Good news: the twists did not unravel.
Bad news: by rolling so far up, it looks like I still have major shrinkage! Here's the look:
![TerraD, MM, Life and Brazilian Blowouts! - Page 8 Photo_36](https://i.servimg.com/u/f19/14/49/88/83/photo_36.jpg)
I definitely think the ponytail holders worked to stretch my roots and prevent unraveling. Now I need to only roll the very ends to get better elongation.
Next....Vegan Food Porn LOL!
The food was hecka good! My friend and I fell asleep after stuffing our faces and are about to do the same for a second time! Here's a pic of my food. From top left (Green Beans, Mac N Cheez, Yams, Wheat rolls, Field Roast w/gravy, Mashed Potatoes w/gravy and corn)
![TerraD, MM, Life and Brazilian Blowouts! - Page 8 Photo_37](https://i.servimg.com/u/f19/14/49/88/83/photo_37.jpg)

![TerraD, MM, Life and Brazilian Blowouts! - Page 8 Photo_38](https://i.servimg.com/u/f19/14/49/88/83/photo_38.jpg)

![TerraD, MM, Life and Brazilian Blowouts! - Page 8 Photo_40](https://i.servimg.com/u/f19/14/49/88/83/photo_40.jpg)
Gingerbread Cookies (Notice the chocolate men, LOL)

Re: TerraD, MM, Life and Brazilian Blowouts!
d.denise that is a good idea. I usually use the perm rods (blue or yellow) but sometimes the curl can be too tight. I'll try the straws the next time I curl the ends of my twist.
