This is my week in a half twist up in a high pony i think i will keep my hair like this until friday. Rejuvenated my twist with some lovely steam and water and coconut oil to seal in the moisture. and i feel in love again ith the twist i once despised during our challenge. I will be adding twist to my staple stlyes.

I still have the same twists from last week. They've plumped up though:

Oooo weee xtreme your hair is FABULOUS!!!!
Here are my final twists for the challenge. I did them on a dry wash n'go. I used Pink Lotion (I don't like it but I was twisting at a friend's house and that's what she had). Since Pink lotion is pretty drying, I used coconut oil on top of it and it worked really well!
So I went from this

Ladies thanks for sharing your twist challenge results. It appears that protective styling is the way to go for growth and length retention. Well done!
Love the comic strip. One month - WOW!

Re: Twist Challenge Part 2: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!
ok I am still NOT twisted up...I don't know if I will make this last week. I got a taste of a WnG and I don't know how to act. If I get out of here at a decent hour I will give it a shot!
Even if I don't this challenged forced me to learn what Sasha needs to get the twist I desire and I am so grateful!

Re: Twist Challenge Part 2: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!
My hair seems more frizzy (early) this week...Trying to recall what I did differently.
Re: Twist Challenge Part 2: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!
Ok I know I didn't make it known that I was taking part in this challenge, but I have been twisting for the past... who knows how many weeks. My hair has grown due to the twist. This was the first time I wore a protective style for weeks straight. On Sunday I had to cut about an inch or so but I have no worries. I will be maintaining my twist for the summer and by September I will get that inch and more back. Congrats to all the ladies who rocked their twist for this challenge!!!

Re: Twist Challenge Part 2: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!
I'm in week five still keeping it simple twisted and pinned up. After the challenge is over I will still keep it twisted the majority of the time its very cool for the summer to have it off of my neck. I went 2 weeks before retwisting this time and I can't wait until the weekend to play in my hair! One week to go woo hoo!!

I want to take this time to thank Bholmes for starting this Challenge. I have been forced (gently) to figure out what is needed for the twist out of my dreams. I was very happy with the twist out while in Vegas

After this is over, I want to do finger coils and a rollerset again....

Re: Twist Challenge Part 2: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!
Yall, I am still in the challenge, but I am done. Took my twists out last night because they were looking ashy/dry. But they felt really soft and moisturized. But to me, looks and health go hand in hand. So, no more twists for me for a while. That set was in for 12 days, so that gives me 4 days to be allowed to wear them out...right [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] . Anywho, last night I put my hair in about 15 wet twist, took them down with jojoba oil this morning, retwisted the same twists. Then about an hour later, unraveled the twist, fluffed, then put on my headband.
I'll come back Monday and post before and after pics since I'll DC and do my length check this weekend.

Now don't yall start looking at my hair and give in to the temptation to take your twists down. If your original plan was to keep it twisted until Saturday, do that. But my hair needed some attention and I have it to her. Plus, I originally started twisted my hair weekly on March 13, therefore, I have been twisted an additional 5 weeks.
( I guess I'm trying to convince myself that I didn't give up on the challenge [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] )

Re: Twist Challenge Part 2: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!
I put my twists in a ponytail for the first time last night! Well there were some bobby pins helping but you get the gist lol.

Re: Twist Challenge Part 2: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!
So overall how do you feel about this challenge...I know it was kind of 2 different versions of the challenge twists and pinned styles.
Do you think it was too long? Not long enough?
Do you think your hair liked it or didn't like it?
How did you feel during the challenge?
I'll start it off....
I think it was just long enough 6 weeks allowed it to be challenging, but also gave me time to learn new things.
I think my hair LOVED it.
Overall, I was okay, but there were moments when I wanted to unpin (to see hangtime).

Re: Twist Challenge Part 2: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!
I also think it was just long enough! It was really challenging to leave my hair alone for so long but I think I'll continue twisting for a few more weeks to continue reaping the benefits.
I think Chlo "The Fro" LOVED this challenge!!!! I can see the growth in these 6 short weeks and I've learned first hand the benefits of protective styling. I also was able to find some amazingly fabulous hairstyles to wear while my hair is protected.
During the challenge I was getting restless. I wanted to play in my hair! I wanted to try a braidout, a roller set and a new WnG method. I never wanted to wash my twist-outs because I loved how they looked but it was good to use some discipline
