Now, I am leaving to go camping for almost a full week next week. What would you guys suggest that I do with my hair? I will be doing some swimming in a lake.

I like your puff! How are you holding it back? Do you have one of those bra strap headbands? I never learned how to use one of those....

Really? I can't even see it.

I love puffs but I can only seem to use the elastic covered ponytail holders with any success. I've tried using tight headbands and sometimes cutting them but that never worked right. It would just be a pushed back fro. But I have never been able to keep my curlies down when I use a skinnier material. I start looking like an eraser head when my halo starts to frizz up out of the puff, lol! Doesn't matter what kind of gel I use, it always happens at some point over the day. Maybe I have to practice more. I have a clear bra strap and I have some pantyhose around here somewhere.....

Thanks ladies. It look like that is what I will be doing to my hair for the rest of the week, that and wash n go's. We are leaving tomorrow to go camping. I mean, what else can I do out in the woods? I still want to look somewhat cute...LOL

I will be home on Sunday, if I don't check in before I go.

We had a great week camping. No one wanted to come home. We are planning our next trip for September, but now I am not too sure that we will actually make it.

John has be prospected for a job in Iowa. We prayed about it and did some research and decided to go for it. So, if he gets this job, we will be moving to Iowa. I never saw that one coming, but hey, life is full of surprises.



I pretty much just wore my hair in a puff. Look how big Duchess is getting! That is my husband and my nephew in the pic.

My son did his own wash n go....LOL

I am trying something a little different tonight due to lack of time. I thought one of my freelance projects was starting this evening and now it has been postponed until noon tomorrow.

Anyway, I didn't think I had time to twist my hair. I washed it and decided to do some big braids. I have four french braids at the top and four more in the back. I am interested in seeing what is looks like in the morning. I hope it dries completely.

Stay tuned, I will post pics of the results tomorrow.

Ok, the jury is still out on if I like this style or not. I don't hate it, but I don't love it.

Your son is adorable!! I cant imagine going camping ....so did you all sleep outside in tents? What did you do during the day? Fishing?

We went to Vogel State Park in Blairesville, GA. I am free for the rest of the week, so whatever is good with you.

He did his own hair that day. That is what made it funny. He watches me too much. His hair is full of conditioner.

Thank you. we have so much fun camping. It is great time out in nature with God. Yes, we sleep in tents. The park we stayed at does have fishing, but we didn't fish this year. There is a lake to swim in and paddle boats. There are hiking trails and the park does planned activities for the kids. Are you on facebook? I have a ton of pics on there of the kids searching for critters in the creek and doing arts and crafts.

This has been a great ride, so far. Now I think that I am ready to explore my wild side. Here are several shots of my hair today. I think tonight I want to do the rest in some Bantu knots. I have no where to go, so it is a good time to experiment.

Never got around to doing the Bantu knots. Hopefully, I can try it in a couple of week. I just got done dc'ing.

Over the weekend I noticed that I am shedding a lot more than usual. My husband said that I was molting..lol. I haven't done anything different. Is this normal?

Anyway, I am going to twist it and keep it like that for the week. I know, no "wild side" for me.

Today my 7 yr old donated 10 or more inches to locks of love. Check out her before picture and what she looks like today. She had it shampooed and straightened.
