I have had my Hair Milk since last week, but of course I had just finished my hair that morning when it showed up that afternoon.

I was so excited to try something, new. I was may hair with the shampoo and conditioned it in the shower. I didn't do a deep treatment because I really wanted to asses the product and see what all of the hoopla was about with Carol's Daughter in general.

I was liking it in the beginning, the shampoo had a great smell and I loved all of the suds. I have been only co-washing since my big chop. I never felt the need to clarify. My hair was doing well.

When I rinsed out the shampoo, my hair felt stripped, dry and brittle. I then used the conditioner and detangled in the shower. Gloria was feeling a little better, but still dryer than normal.

Here is the result fresh out of the shower with no product.



I then added the original curl definer. I am going to save the lite curl definer for warmer months. I am assuming that is what that is for.

Well, I can say that my curls are definitely defined. I will have to be honest and say that I was not impressed. I was disappointed because I wanted to be. It looks like I will be back to cowashing with my cheap conditioner and using this once in a while. I don't see myself running out to buy it when it is gone.

After I used these products, I went back to my old routine and added coconut oil, and shea butter. Then I twisted it with ORS. I will keep it like this until the weekend.

I did take a picture of my twist because you guys haven't seen Gloria in a while. She is 10 months now. I need to get a new avatar. I will also take a pic of my twist out.

Gloria looks great. Great review...I have the moisturizer..I keep it on my desk at work. I will not be purchasing again. I too was not impressed! congrats on your tenth month!

Your twists look very nice! I bought the Hair Milk and Hair Milk lite samples. I used the Hair Milk on my daughter and didn't like the results. I used the HM lite on myself and the results were ok. I'll have to try it again to see if it performs well.

I recently used the CD Hair Milk and also was not impressed. It's just so-so IMO. The poo stripped my hair and the condish was not moisturizing at all. The definer hair milk kind of sat on my hair. I won't be repurchasing.

Your twists look good. You can see in the pics they are well moisturized.

Okk good, I am not the only one going crazy. Maybe, I will go ahead and try the lite next time.

Thanks, that is after going back to my old faithful products. You saw what it looked like before the twists.

Here are the twist out results from the two strand twist. I am thinking about doing Bantu knots this week. It is cold here, so I can wear a hat if I have to run out.

I only wear my hair out one day a week. For church on Sunday. Then I wash and go right back to a protective style.

That Bantu Knot out looks great!! How do you protect it at night?

I just put on a satin bonnet. Then in the morning, I rub some coconut oil on my hands and finger fluff.

Wow, the time has flown by so fast. I can't believe that I have been natural for 11 months now.

Here I am today. My daughter took a pic of me before church this morning. I have tired and true twist out.



Now I have one month to figure out what I want to do with my hair for my one year anniversary. Any ideas?
