Re: BlondeByDesire - My Hair has a name - BELLA -means beautiful
Good Friday Morning SisterCurlFriends,
I hope all is well with everyone.
So last night I couldn't take the itching anymore, my scalp with really getting on my nerves. So I co-washed and used a new co-wash conditioner Renpure Organics ... it was recommended by a fellow Curly - you can find it at your local drugstore or CVS is where I purchased mine for $6.99. Smells fabulous.
Product Details:
Silk protein, pomegranate & olive leaf extract. Made with 100% certified organic extracts and safe, fresh, natural ingredients. Eliminate These Harsh Chemicals from Your Hair: sulfates, parabens, colors, dyes. Our family has been making hair care products for over 40 years with over a billion bottles produced worldwide. We became concerned about all the chemicals our family was exposed to on a daily basis, so we developed a line of hair care products free from harmful chemicals. We use only 100% certified organic extracts and safe, fresh natural ingredients. - The Redmond Family. All Renpure formulas are color safe. These products are not tested on animals. Tested on the Redmonds. Made in the USA.
Ingredients:
Water (Aqua), Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetrimonium Chloride, PEG-10 Sunflower Glycerides, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Extract, Hydrolyzed Silk PG-Propyl Methylsilanediol Crosspolymer, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Flour Lipids, Tocopheryl Acetate, Panthenol, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Glycerin, Myristic Acid, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Polyglyceryl-3 Distearate, Polysorbate 60, Citric Acid, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, Fragrance (Parfum).
My hair is feeling super soft this morning although not totally dry. That's why I had hate mid-week washing i know my hair won't dry overnight in time for work the next morning. Anyway I did large twists nothing fancy at all - I used my Koils By Nature Almond Joy Butter - first time using it. The consistency is kinda gritty but in a good way. Smells good too. So I'm not sure what the softness is from (the new con or KBN butter) also I need to wait until its fully dry to really give an accurate assessment. I know I will have the frizzys by this afternoon though. I'll have to revisit this again and let my hair fully dry - like I normally do.

Good Morning BBD!
Beautiful hair today, and yesterday. What did you use to pull your hair back into the puff style yesterday?
Thanks for the product recommendation. I guess I'll stop by Walgreen's or CVS and check it out!
Happy Friday!!! Have a great day!!!

BBD,
Your hair looks very nice. Looks full and fluffy. I saw that condish, I think at rite aid. It caught my eye because it had a rebate in which you bought it for around 6 dollars but when you mail in the rebate you got the whole amt back. They wanted you to try it for free. It was a manufacture rebate. I may have to go back and check it out.

Yup mine had the same rebate on it, but silly me through away my receipt. Once I bought the products, I just put it with arsenal of other products and didn't think about it anymore.

Yup, I was skeptical too ... but I was able to tie mine around twice and you pull it to how high you want your puff. It's a keeper. I used one leg.

Where can I find more information on the pantyhose method? I want to try it on my daughter. She likes to wear her hair in a ponytail, but I have the hardest time getting her hair into one. It is extra thick.

Go on buy up those products ... I tell you, I'm not sure what it is, but I got that softness I've been craving .. so far this morning ... I know it's still early, but I have HIH disease right now. My hair is supa dupa soft - not as full as I want it (because it was wet when I unraveled this morning), but I love it nonetheless.
Thanks.

MM - that's just the name I gave it. It's justing using the 1 leg of the pantyhose to secure your puff. Once you have applied your products, etc. you take the leg holding as if you are putting on a headband (if that makes sense) and make a tie in the back and pull to where you want the puff to be (height) and wrap around and tie in the back. I hope this makes sense. Maybe someone else can explain better. I know ChiselleCouture (sp?) on YT does a demonstration of this.

Good morning Blonde by Desire,
Your hair looks beautiful today (as usual) but, I must say I LOVED yesterday's PUFF! The new avi is beautiful.
I think I may have to try that conditioner. I have been sticking with HEHH but, want to see if I can find something else to alternate with every now and then. Since I have a TWA, I co-wash almost everyday so it's good to have a few conditioners to work with (OK, I know I'm trying to justify the PJ in me).
Anyway, you are working your hair.

I AM LOVING THE HAIR!!! LOVE THE AVI!!
Re: BlondeByDesire - My Hair has a name - BELLA -means beautiful
Okay, I have caught up. Your twists and twist out looks great. You are a serious PJ. I am glad there are others like me.
Love the soclocs. I saw the taren916 video.
I plan to try a ponytail rollerset tonight. I hope it turns out presentable. I looked at your fotki (thanks for the suggestion) at a few videos last night so I could get it right.
I tried glycerin and aloe vera gel (natural) along with a few drops of vitamin E oil this morning. I would highly recommend it. My hair feels soft but coated. I do not think the mix left it coated but my shea butter mix (too heavy for hair right now).
Hope you have a great weekend. Go 'head and head home after lunch, it's okay, I won't tell anyone you wanted to enjoy this beautiful day .

Now are you using this in spritz bottle?
Thanks for giving the rest of the day off ...
Have a great weekend as well ...
