Re: BlondeByDesire - My Hair has a name - BELLA -means beautiful
Today, when I awoke, I suddenly realized that this is the best day of my life, ever There were times when I wondered if I would make it to today; but I did! And because I did I'm going to celebrate! Today, I'm going to celebrate what an unbelievable life I have had so far: the accomplishments, the many blessings, and, yes, even the hardships because they have served to make me stronger. I will go through this day with my head held high and a happy heart. I will marvel at God's seemingly simple gifts: the morning dew, the sun, the clouds, the trees, the flowers, The birds. Today, none of these miraculous creations will escape my notice Today, I will share my excitement for life with other people. I'll make someone smile. I'll go out of my way to perform an unexpected act of kindness for someone I don't even know. Today, I'll give a sincere compliment to someone who seems down. I'll tell a child how special he is, and I'll tell someone I love just how deeply I care for them and how much they mean to me. Today is the day I quit worrying about what I don't have and start being grateful for all the wonderful things God has already given me. I'll remember that to worry is just a waste of time because my faith in God and his Divine Plan ensures everything will be just fine. And tonight, before I go to bed, I'll go outside and raise my eyes to the heavens. I will stand in awe at the beauty of the stars and the moon, and I will praise God for these magnificent treasures. As the day ends and I lay my head down on my pillow, I will thank the Almighty for the best day of my life. And I will sleep the sleep of a contented child, excited with expectation because I know tomorrow is going to be the best day of my life, ever! I NEEDED TO RECEIVE THIS MESSAGE TODAY! Do you know of others who might be waiting to receive it from you? |

Re: BlondeByDesire - My Hair has a name - BELLA -means beautiful
Happy Friday Ladies,
Nothing new to report. I've been having the itchies with my scalp and I'm not sure what that's all about. The nape area especially. Now I"m seeing some flakes, something I haven't had in a long time. I cleansed my scalp on my last wash session (Sunday) and I'm thinking I may have to do it again this weekend. Also, I'm thinking I may need to incorporate a co-wash mid-week. When I was co-washing twice a week I didn't have this problem. IDK.
I'm also gonna make some of that Aloe Gro (Tia's version) and see if that helps.
Any suggestions - Ladies would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

good morning!
Hmmm, maybe a product is causing the itchies...i know whenever i used certain products my scalp would itch...when i elimated it, it was good. The flakes could be from the product as well or builup, i know you said you cleansed your scalp last week...are you using a heavy product? Maybe the mid week cowashes would help though. Can't wait to hear your results from the aloe grow!

Thanks, MC. I usually try to say consistent from week to week with products. The only thing that I applied directly to my scalp was the Curls Cleansing Cream. Maybe I didn't rinse properly, IDK. Other than that all other products, Bee Mine was applied directly to the hair. I'll figure it out asap, because I can't deal with a itchy scalp.
Will keep you posted.

I'm trying to figure out how to get my itchy scalp under control. I think I am gonna start shampooing twice a month and see if that makes a difference. I've been using the aloe grow (Tia's mix) for a week now....I only spray it when my scalp feels itchy. I love the cool tingly feeling. It works temporarily but it starts itching again the next day. I'll get figure it out.

Re: BlondeByDesire - My Hair has a name - BELLA -means beautiful
My itches came from dryness - that is why the aloe gro works for about a day and then it would start again. I didn't think I had dry scalp because I didn't have a problem with flakes. But I learned that my scalp, when dry, itches just like my skin when it's dry. I started doing a mid-week co-wash and moisturizing my scalp and the itches have subsided tremendously. The coolness from the aloe vera does feel great - follow that up with some light oil, kinda like sealing my scalp.
