I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!
Ok I was only gone one day...but it kinda felt like forever! I took the day off work yesterday to take an advance training class however once I saw how long the commute was (almost 2hrs) I bailed and stayed home with the wifey and chilled. It was a much needed decompression....sometimes I feel like the Energizer Bunny!
So about my hair:
I got my shea butter!!! It was the Rasberry Lemonade scent and I love it! My GF says that it reminds her of Rainbow Sherbert and too me it smells like Summer. I used it when I did my twists on Sunday (yaaaaaaaay Saints!). So I cowashed my hair with Aussie Moist, t-shirt dried the excess water, used my BioInfusions leave-in, and got to work. I decided to finger coil the back so my arms wouldn't poop out halfway through, and two-strand twist the top and front. My hair stayed pretty damp the whole time but when I hit some dry spots I spritzed with my moisture mix. I twisted with the shea butter to seal and the Loc & Twist gel for hold. The results are pretty bangin! I can definitely see why everyone loves shea butter on their hair, I can't believe I slept on it for so long!

Where did you get the scented shea butter from? I don't like the smell of regular shea.
Please post pics. I would love to see it.

It was the from Butters-n-Bars. I'm like you, I haven't like the sent of shea butter in the past but this just smelled like delicious raspberries and lemons. I will be posting pics this week...probably tonight or tomorrow.

Glad you are having success with shea butter. The scent sound like it smells fantastic.
It is even better 'cause it was free, right?!

Happy Wednesday!
I'm so glad that the week is almost over already, lol! I'm anxious to get my Valentine's Day on (and my three day weekend, woot woot )!
Hairwise, instead of my usual two week twist set, I am going to do a twist out for my romantic weekend. I'm interested to see how the t/o will look since I used the shea butter. The moisture has held up well so far. I want my hair to be juicy and defined...I may moisturize and seal when I unravel my hair.
Any V-Day hair plans ladies?

Hay Ladies!
No pics today! I have the hardest time actually taking and posting pics
because by the time I get home I am ready to fall out! Seriously though
I will have hair pics up on Saturday and food pics on Sunday or Monday
(prolly Monday). I will also be updating my fotki this weekend.
For dinner I am making Shrimp & Chorizo stuffed Poblano Peppers with a garden salad on the side and Red Velvet Sandwich Cookies for dessert (think Cakesters). Both are new recipes that I found online (Foodnetwork.com and Bakerella.com). Thanks for the good vibes Chrs! I don't cook often and my GF can be vurrrrrrrrry picky.
As for my hair today: just spritzed with my moisture spritz and kept it pushin! I think twists are going to the basis for a lot of my hair styles as it grows...they're so simple and time saving!

Red Velvet Sandwich cookies are like Oreo cakesters. You make the cookies with cake mix and them sandwich the frosting in the middle. I got the recipe here. I hope that it goes over well.
As for the pics...I'll post them Saturday morning. I have most of the day to myself to I'll be able to pic and post early in the day. Sorry that I didn't do it last night, i was BEAT when I got home. I think that this is enough of a reason to get a better camera phone...don't you?

Re: Natural in Wonderland
Happy Friday ladies!
To all my Curlies that are being attacked by the snow, please stay safe! Even though I'm all the way across the country, my prayers are with you.
I took the first step for posting pics which is taking them! They will still be posted tomorrow (Saturday) morning. Umm when my GF showed me the one of the back of my head, I didn't realize that I had so much scalp showing. I'll def make sure to fluff my hair more when I do my twist out tomorrow.

I should've let everyone know that I am the worst with posting pics, they just sit on my camera FOREVER. But I am working on it (gonna buy a phone with a better camera and mobile upload capabilities).

Re: Natural in Wonderland
I like the fingercoils. I wish I had did more with my hair when it was shorter. Maybe I'll BC again in the future. I can be pretty bad about uploading pictures too so no worries.
Re: Natural in Wonderland
Happy Tuesday!
I had yesterday off and did a whole lotta nothing! So ummm apologies because the food didn't last and I didn't take any pictures before we gobbled it up!
Hairwise I ended up not doing a twist out and since I have a 6 day work/school week, I'm going to keep the twists in for the duration. I have an audition/test coming up so I will do the t/o for that...I want to look more 'fashiony' since I'm showing off my make-up skills for an upcoming job.
Besides that all is well. The lady and I went to Berkeley on Sunday and we found a pretty awesome natural health and beauty store. They have Giovanni and henna and oils and teas....Ummm pretty much it's our new playground and we will be visiting there often.
Have a lovely day Curlies!!
