They don't usually carry the big bottles of the Giovanni Direct. Just the 50/50, TTT and SAS.

I tend to be heavy handed with products when I deep condition. I like for every strand to be coated. I have used it twice to deep condition and once as a co wash. I love that stuff!!! It makes my hair so soft!!! It is definitely a staple for me.

When my shedding increase, I need protein. I know the shedding has increase too because this is my time to shed. Around this time of year, my shedding always increase.

I am still trying to get the perfect moisture/protein balance.

oh ok well i think i need some protein cuz since my hair has been dry n barely maintained while i was held hostage at work (from the snow) i noticed within the last few days shedding.

im heavy handed too esp w/dc'in. i got a perm brush (like a painters brush) so i can apply my dc's from the jar too! do you use the sas alone when u dc?

Yep, I use it alone. I make sure I dont leave it in my hair too long. One time I deep conditioned with protein overnight and woke up with dry, brittle, straw like strands. I used it Tuesday when I washed my hair. I wasnt able to sit under the dryer so I left it in my hair about an hour.

I found that mixing the SAS with some 50/50 helps maintain a nice balance. The SAS alone is too much protein for me.

I havent really used the hair cream on my hair. I've been using it on my son's hair. I like the hair butter but it is really thick. I probably wont be ordering any more of it because spring will be her soon.

My newest shea butter mixture (Oooop2's mixture) is shea butter (already scented), coconut oil, castor oil, EVOO and vitamin E oil. The vitamin E oil was my addition to the mixture. It's a natural preservative. If my shea butter is not scented, I add lemongrass essential oil. It smell like lemon cake according to my Hubby.
