Its so hard using up stuff! I dont know how I am going to do it! Its like I acquire stuff like its going out of style but I use it like there is a conditioner famine!

why do i feel like i've been on this stash challenge forever? i know it's only jan. 23rd but i feel like its March already!! jesus take the wheel...im trying not to hop on 95 to baltimore to the oyin store!! EEEEEKK!

OK, I confess! I did end up getting some cantu shea butter leave in conditioner at the CN Charlotte meet-up. I've heard so many good things about it that I couldn't resist....AND IT WAS FREE [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] !

I've added it to my list. We won't have another meet-up until March...so I am safe. I revised my list and I'm not doing too bad. I just need to go through some more of my conditioners and determine which styling product works best on my hair.

I know what you mean. I'm ready for it to be over not because I want to buy more, but because I'm ready to just get rid of all of this "stuff". Have you been able to cross anything off your list yet?

@Lynnieluve, Nubie, Erica & Sweet: You've been busted! I saw your posts in the new products thread that Natural83 started. And the only reason I knew was because I saw Sweet made the last post and wondered why she was in there. I clicked on thread and lo and behold ALL Y'ALL had been up in there.

Travel, I told them I was gonna tell you but they tried to blackmail me since I was in there too. Even though I was just checking on them, they tried to make it seem like I was in there for my own selfish reasons.

umm no travel, i havent been able to check anything off my list yet. i just took my braids out so im trying not to go overboard with products to try and im trying to stretch my wash's out since its the winter time. hopefully i can wash my hair every 3 or 4 days vs every other day! im definitely heavy handed w/ my condish's but i wont run out anytime soon, lol.

@Nubie: I use a lot of condish too, but I'm still tryna figure out how I'm going to use all of it...especially since I'm not co-washing anymore. My sister asked me for product recos b/c her hair is breaking off, so I made up some samples from my stash for her. Hopefully some of the stuff works so I can mark some more things off my list.

why you not co-washing anymore? how often are you washing then?

I never really felt 100% comfortable co-washing and couldn't break the habit of shampooing, so decided to drop the co-washing and just DC, shampoo and condition once a week. This could totally change in the summer, but it's working for now.

i finally used a dab of my qhemet honeybush tea gel...OMGGGGG!! it didnt even feel like gel. it's a lighter version of my olive n honey hydrating balm. is it too much if i wash my hair every other day? i mean i read how some people wash everyday!

I used to co-wash every other day and it helped my hair (I think the water itself moreso than conditioner). Try it and see how your hair responds.

I'm noticing that co-washing less seems to have a negative effect on my hair. I used to co-wash everyday but now that's it's winter I'm doing it once a week. It's not growing at the same rate. Jury is still out though because I also had surgery in December and I know people have hair issues after surgery sometimes.

There is a grocery store chain in my area closing a couple of their locations and right now everything in the store is 25% off. They close their doors for good on Feb 11th. Of course I check out hair product aisle and there are still some good stuff left. NO I DID NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING.....**whispering under my breath and through my teeth** yet.....
