Re: Curl Junkie Giveaway-- CLOSED
Oh I think it would also be nice to have occasional picks of fave products in different price ranges.
Re: Curl Junkie Giveaway-- CLOSED
Hi!
1) Please highlight natural salons. I have to admit, I miss the salon experience, having a chance to sit (not ALL day though, don't miss that part) and get pampered.
2) Can highlight natural stylists in various states?
3) Also please highlight advice on "safely" coloring and maintaining color in your natural hair? What to do, use or not use, etc. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
4) Give ingredients of homemade conditioners/ moisturizers that ppl can make themselves for great results. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
5) The names of websites/ retailer location of products that are recommended. I found that when I 1st went natural and spent hrs reading blogs, and researching. Many products were commonly mentioned but as a "newbie" I had no idea where to go to get them or how much they cost. That info would be very helpful to us newbies! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Thanks!

It would be very helpful if you asked the hair type in your "Story of Transition" Interviews. As a new transitioner, I would love to use these interviews as a learning tool. After reading one of the interviews, I thought that giving myself a protein treatment was a great idea only to find out that my hair became straw-like and hard. I would like to see more pictures of people who are transitioning right now. I've been transitioning for awhile, and it would be helpful to see oters who are still on that journey!
Although I do love to see the beauties who've already done the BC as well

Hello sistas!
I'm new to the site and what I can see ya'll got it covered! But maybe a thread about the concotions we use and how to make them (i.e., your whipped shea recipe, how you do your ACV rinse, baking soda conditioning), also a "natural diva" or "fly style" thread. I know since becoming natural I have stepped my ear ring, hat, and make up game up.

Styling Tips
I would like to see more on styles that require very low daily manipulation. The only style I seem to be able to wear everyday with low manipulation is a bun, how boring is that! Braid and twist outs require re-braiding or twisting nightly for me, if i want to wear my hair out the next day. I haven't found a way to keep my hair defined without redoing it nightly [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] It's getting so bad for me I've been thinking about texlaxing! Yes, I said it...yo girl is being tempted with the creamy crack!

i'd like to see some styling options when you have thinness. i'm just stuck to buns, ponys and headbands.

I agree with Yaya! I know that Natural ladies tend to have a great since of style that extends to their clothing and accessories. I would love to see that featured.

one.tru.luv - your hair is very pretty, it doesn't look thin at all. I agree with you, I would love to see some styling options, because my hair is thick on the sides, back and front, but thin in the center only on the right side. It was like this when I permed as well; however, now that I'm all natural it is a challenge when doing twists and braid outs.
I stick to a twa puff (my signature style) most of the time.

Hi Passion
I know how you feel...but DON'T go back to the creamy crack!!!! I have a twa and it does require that I co-wash if I do twists or braids, but I so LOVE my hair. I love that fact that it is healthy, and I do have the option to wash "n" go when I have a bad hair day. Hang in there girl!!! How much length do you have? YouTube has a lot of videos with styling ideas/instructions. That and this forum has been my saving grace.

Re: Curl Junkie Giveaway-- CLOSED
I agree with a lot of the suggestions. In addition
-More info on how to start your own hair care line, products, and services. As black women we need to start owning the products we use and support other black women already in the business.
-More natural men on the forum (maybe even a dating section?) Learning how to love ourselves and each other.
-An around the world section. I live in Germany and we have different products available to us. Maybe talk about what sista´s from around the world use and how they style their hair.
