After 20 LONG months of Transitioning without a BC, I am done.... I have trimmed my way to Natural Hair... Oct 2008- June 2010.... It was worth it....It can be done without a BC.

Just gorgeous! And yes ladies a long transition can be achieved. I lasted 18.5 months and as time flys your hair grows. Just be patient and wear protective styles to ease your mind and your strands.

Aw I'm so jealous. I wish my hair didn't have as much shrinkage as it does. I'm at month 7 to 8 of my transition. I know for a fact my hair would not look like that length at 20 months. Stretched at almost 8 months of growth I have 4 inches which is normal/typical. But when my hair is not stretched it is a half inch. Sucks right! lol I have 75% shrinkage! so at 20 months even if I have 10 inches it will probably look like 2 to 3! So I plan on transitioning for as long as possible while under weaves a lot of the time. Only trimming when I need one......Because I have a feeling this may just be a stretch for me...and not a transition [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
